So I let an acquaintance borrow one of the slings from my embarrassingly large collection a while ago. Made it clear that I’d be wanting it back.
Fast forward a few months and I’m expecting another baby, so will be needing it. It one of the few on the market with a lower weight limit for tiny babies (suitable from 5lbs) and I make small babies, which is why it’s this specific sling I’ll be wanting for my new baby.
Asked the other day about getting it back, and she said “oh it’s I’ve packed it away somewhere but will look.”
Mentioned it to another friend who also knows her and said she’s pretty sure that it was being advertised on a Facebook selling site a while back
AIBU to call her out on it, and expect either my sling back or the money to replace it?!
Who does that? Borrows something from a friend and then flogs it on the sly?!!

Click on the "Ask for details" button and ask for an explanation as to why she's selling it, making it obvious that it's You!! What a cheeky fucker

Get a friend to buy it and then bill her at the full price for a replacement.

The only way to deal with this is being blunt.
Send her the screenshot and tell her she either returns the item if she still has it or you expect the item to be replaced by x date.
