To think our Prime Minister has lost the plot and is now completely bonkers?

We're supposed to be leaving next month.
Theresa May's withdrawal agreement was voted down in Parliament and she didn't even have the good grace to be in the Commons for the results of the latest votes on amendments.

The EU has said there will be no further negotiation on it - so what exactly is TMay discussing with them as she charges around Europe like a dementor?

There's going to be another Meaningful Hmm Vote in two weeks but how can she offer anything new if EU say they won't alter the backstop?

She looks unwell and on edge and please don't anyone say they feel sorry for her - she wanted the job and she's made a total mess of it and I don't see how she can sort it out because she's too stubborn and too vindictive. And incompetent.

Im not a Tory but i think She looked more rattled the other day on the TV than i;ve ever seen her before. She does have type 1 diabetes, so could be this also clouding her judgement ( ie, she isnt well, but still soldiering on?)
i do not feel sorry for her, but she has had a tough time of it ( a lot is her own doing, a lot isnt) and the whole thing has been a terrible nightmare.
They all seem to be walking around scratching their behinds waiting for someone to bail them all out!
Labour having one of the worst leaders in years also doesnt help. he should be running rings around them all, but he isn't. Not that any of this is any of Labour's fault of course, but he is just as stubborn as she is.

Alsohuman · 27/02/2019 13:34

The buck stops on the PM’s desk.

Mummyoflittledragon · 27/02/2019 13:34

She was under enormous pressure to trigger A50. She definitely wasn’t the only idiot in the room as time4chocolate pointed out.

Springwalk · 27/02/2019 13:35

The WA is overwhelmingly must worse than staying in the EU. What was she thinking?! How did she EVER think it would work. So now, we are going to push the country to the very extreme, with all kinds of consequences, many that we can't even see right now. Because she couldn't organise the cross party committee and do things properly.

Even when this was obvious months or years ago, the brakes should have been applied and the committee set up. It is not too late to do this with an extension.

A sensible orderly deal that works mostly for everyone (admittedly unlikely please either extreme, but comfortably in the middle)

I think if Maybot died suddenly the Tories would embalm her and tote her round like a puppet, denying she’s not still alive .

Oh god, I'm now having visions of a TM-Style Dead Parrot sketch:

"THIS IS AN EX-PM!"

"She's...pining for a Norweigian-style agreement."

It’s ok, haven’t got a getting about your name 😁 it didn’t pick up my comment (quality control in action maybe)

No, not slowly. I read if you boil toads slowly they don’t realise what’s happening to them.

zenasfuck · 27/02/2019 13:38

The backstop isn't necessary. Leaving the EU is more important than the Good Friday agreement, as far as I am concerned. Ireland is part of the EU. It's a foreign country.
@Gth1234 are you actually fucking serious ??

JRMisOdious · 27/02/2019 13:38

“Fettish”, not “getting”

Oh FFS, I give up 😁

Springwalk · 27/02/2019 13:38

That is not to say the cross party committee would have had greater success in the EU though. WE might have cross party consensus but how that make a real difference if the EU were completely unwilling to compromise on anything.

Quintella · 27/02/2019 13:40

I think it was Nevada that elected a dead man to congress during last November's midterm elections. So we may laugh but if something did happen to her we'd probably have Nick Timothy writing a pompous article in the Telegraph about how May was still the best woman for the job!

Springwalk · 27/02/2019 13:41

A General Election will be a second referendum of sorts.

Labour - remain
Conservative - Brexit

IvanaPee · 27/02/2019 13:41

How terrifying that people like this got to vote...

Springwalk · 27/02/2019 13:43

WA will be voted through and DUP will walk away and the government will unfold.
Think about it.
If ERG are desperate they will do just this, and this is what happens when you completely misjudge your ability to lead a country TM. Esp one facing its biggest challenges since the world war.

The words of one of the few MPs who talks any sense.

Oh give over Bluntness! Grin Your post is as daft as TMay is bonkers.

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 27/02/2019 13:45

The EU countries and those in charge have been pretty clear about their position from the word go. Its the UK thats faffed around and had 3 Brexit secretaries and been arrogant and demanding and ridiculed them all with their wants. They did the same to David Cameron - he should have realised you dont get very far and called off the whole thing when he could,.
however, we are where we are and its more confusing as the clock ticks on, divided a nation and caused other important issues to go under the radar ( UC being a stinker, homelessness, poverty , the lack of any services or police amongst many other things)

DarlingNikita · 27/02/2019 13:45

She's stubborn, unimaginative and a xenophobe. I couldn't give a flying fuck about her health, much less for her desire to keep the Tories together.

She's a fucking liability.

The only thing that redeems her slightly is that her opposite number is even more of one.

Quintella · 27/02/2019 13:46

Someone needs to lock Corbyn in the commons basement and install Cooper as leader of the opp.

JRMisOdious · 27/02/2019 13:48

“She's a fucking liability.

And therein lies the problem. Wall to wall incompetence.

M3lon · 27/02/2019 13:50

I'm in favour of the Germany plus deal...maybe that could go on the ballot if we ever get a do-over...

To think our Prime Minister has lost the plot and is now completely bonkers?
Bluntness100 · 27/02/2019 13:50

Her age is irrelevant - plenty of competent people of her age and older in positions of authority

Cmon then, enlighten us all. Who do you think should be prime minister doing it instead, would do a better job, and more importantly, would be willing to do it, and could get a majority behind them?

I'm sure we are all gagging to know.

MamaLovesMango · 27/02/2019 13:51

Just came here so I can use this in the future on Uncle Knobhead’s odious FB posts Grin

People doing WWII wanks all over the place are a large part of why the UK is in this mess
