OhDearHowSadNeverMind · 07/02/2019 20:06

Love it.

Just that.

Cabininthesnow · 07/02/2019 20:06

I think it’s horrible. Sorry. But it’s what you think that matters.

OhDearHowSadNeverMind · 07/02/2019 20:06

PS. “Just that” is a bit abrupt and rude IMO.

Just that

3out · 07/02/2019 20:07

I love it!

whitehousemum · 07/02/2019 20:07

I love it! Would consider it if we had another daughter. Other options are Agnes, Jocelyn or Dervla

Thehop · 07/02/2019 20:07

Oh I like it! Not sure I like Aggie though, don’t let people shorten it!

Cheapskatebride · 07/02/2019 20:09

I like it - it’s a strong and intelligent name (I’m a fan of Agatha Christie natch).
Be warned though - it will get shortened to Aggie!

GottenGottenGotten · 07/02/2019 20:10

Only if your surname isn't Christie!

I quite like it. Which is interesting as I hate the name Agnes that seems to go alongside it.

I don't think 'just that' is abrupt and rude in the way the op has used it. They didn't have anything else to add, so it was fair enough.

But then to criticise it as rude and abrupt and then to use it yourself DOES seem quite rude tbh.

Chocolateteapotferryservices · 07/02/2019 20:10

Love it

Choccywoccyhooha · 07/02/2019 20:11

I love it.

Maykid · 07/02/2019 20:11

I prefer Agnes too, it's gentler.

Haworthia · 07/02/2019 20:12

I’m not sure. It’s harsh sounding to my ear, like someone trying to write down the sound of a hacking cough.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 07/02/2019 20:13

Awful sorry! Just my opinion- Agatha Christie

fusioluxe · 07/02/2019 20:13

Yep as long as your surname isnt crusty or cresty or anything that rhymes with Christie.

VanillaBlossom · 07/02/2019 20:15

Ahhh nooo Shock

ProperVexed · 07/02/2019 20:16

Lovely .... and you could use the nickname Taggie ala Jilly Cooper

froggy3 · 07/02/2019 20:16

Agatha does make me think of miss trunchbull from Matilda.....but I do like the name! It really doesn't matter what others think.

Bubastes · 07/02/2019 20:16

Definitely a name for growing into. Say, when she's about 75.

I know all the vintage names are in vogue but this one doesn't appeal, tt reminds me of aghast and ghastly. Better than Beryl is the nicest thing I can say.

SweetAndSourPrawnBalls · 07/02/2019 20:17

Love it!

user1511042793 · 07/02/2019 20:18

Horrible

Singlenotsingle · 07/02/2019 20:19

Very gutteral, isnt it? How about Agnetha?

PretzelVanderspling · 07/02/2019 20:19

Lovely

HelmutFrontbut · 07/02/2019 20:19

It's a nice name for a Precog Grin

notgivingin78910 · 07/02/2019 20:20

The name reminds me of a character in Matilda....forgot who. But no, sorry, don't like the name.
