Just that.

OP posts:
froggy3 · 07/02/2019 20:20

Have you got a middle name in mind? If you are having one that is?

froggy3 · 07/02/2019 20:21

@notgivingin78910 miss trunchbull

AfterSchoolWorry · 07/02/2019 20:22

Very harsh, ugly sounding word. Sorry OP.

Bobbybobbins · 07/02/2019 20:22

Could possibly use Thea as a nn?

WallisFrizz · 07/02/2019 20:26

Please don’t.

Believability · 07/02/2019 20:28

Hideous. Poor kid

Monestasi · 07/02/2019 20:28

Agatha is lovely.

Dieu · 07/02/2019 20:30

Agatha and Agnes are both equally ugly and old womany.
Just my opinion though.
Good luck!

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 07/02/2019 20:30

I can't like it - it just makes me think of Bertie Wooster's dreaded Aunt Agatha.

Would you consider Dahlia instead?

iMatter · 07/02/2019 20:33

Awful

She'll be that kid in school

No no no

ForTheTimeBeing · 07/02/2019 20:33

Love it!

Scifi101 · 07/02/2019 20:34

I love it.

dawn96 · 07/02/2019 20:38

Never understood why people have to be rude you can just say you don’t like something without being so harsh about it ,especially if someone does like it.
It sounds like a name for a girl who’ll go on to be successful to me

Toodleoopuddle · 07/02/2019 20:41

Remember Matilda....it's miss trunchbulls first name. Just saying.

Theunreasonableone · 07/02/2019 20:50

I don’t like it. It makes me think of Miss Trunchbull. I also used to think Agatha Christie was a man as a very small child. Just something about how the name is written

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/02/2019 21:01

Its a thumbs down from me.
However it seems I'm in the minority.
. I like frilly girly type names.
The world wouldn't go round if we all liked the same things, would it.

LeadMeToTheChocolate · 07/02/2019 21:05

I think it’s awful.
Awful for a teenager/20 yr old/30 yr old. Do people not think about this when following fashionable name trends??
Fine for a cutesy ‘I’m so fashionable’ baby name in a toddler group, fine for an old lady at crochet club. But she will be stuck with it for many years in between. Until she changes it by deed poll.

SilverySurfer · 07/02/2019 21:07

Sorry, it's horrible.

Tutulafromage · 07/02/2019 21:08

Reminds me of Miss Trunchball....sorry lol

Grumpasaurous · 07/02/2019 21:10

Agatha - Taggie

She’ll be whirling round a hunt ball in a Christmas cracker dress, moulding a castle out of ice cream and taming the biggest bad boy of show jumping by the time she’s 18

Shoppingwithmother · 07/02/2019 21:13

I think it sounds like a witch’s name

Barbarafromblackpool · 07/02/2019 21:16

Love it.

I also like Ursula and Cordelia.

BlueSuffragette · 07/02/2019 21:21

Not very keen on it.

MaxNormal · 07/02/2019 21:24

I really like it.

Agathasmum · 07/02/2019 21:41

My Agatha is 8. She’s a crazy, happy & strong-willed girl. The name means ‘noble friend’, which she definitely is! Each to their own, but if you like the name, go for it - fashion be damned.
