I like it!

It wouldn’t be for me. If I was to choose an older-style “A” name, it’d be Althea.

Isn't it great that we don't all want to call our children the same name!

Maud has come back into fashion btw

It's a beautiful name, strong, feminine, timeless

Yes! Exactly. And there is a thread on baby names where a lovely poster is so sad her name is Louise, because she is one of seven Louises she knows. Thinking about it, the only people I know who HAVE changed their names as teens or adults, is because they have incredibly common (as in lots of them, not chavvy), including two Lisas. I have NINE friends called Claire, most of whom go by some other nickname amongst friends to distinguish themselves. Which just goes to show, you could name your child the safest, most popular, safe-in-the-herd name ever, and they could loathe it and change it as adults, just like my Agatha could as well.

She has a mainstream classic middle name as well but with a furrin spelling so clearly she’s doubly screwed. Grin
