Just that.

OP posts:
liverbird10 · 07/02/2019 21:53

Awful.

SerenDippitty · 07/02/2019 21:57

I think it sounds like a witch’s name

It’s a saint’s name.

MelinaM · 07/02/2019 21:58

I love it! Not a fan if Aggie as a nn, don’t let people shorten it Smile

VanillaBlossom · 07/02/2019 22:00

I know I posted earlier but why would you ask on here Op ....I'm a thinking deep down you ain't too sure yourself?
Go with your gut . ....sometimes they just suit a name :-) x

CrabbyPatty · 07/02/2019 22:01

Like it... I like harsh (?Germanic) sounding names and we're using Agnes as a middle name for our baby (due) but shortening to Aggy puts me off using either as a first name.

CrabbyPatty · 07/02/2019 22:02

Lots of people will hate it, but personally I hate the name Olivia which is the most popular baby girl name of the moment. We're all different. I think Agatha is a strong girls name after a real literary icon.

ABlether · 07/02/2019 22:03

I love Agatha and Agnes. Shame DH won't entertain either. Beautiful names.

40andfeelingit · 07/02/2019 22:07

Love it
But would encourage ‘Taggie’ instead of ‘Aggie’ for nn

Joinourclub · 07/02/2019 22:10

I like it, I’m s fan of non-frilly names. I also like:

Maggie
Anya
Greta
Gwen
Erin
Margot

FiveRedBricks · 07/02/2019 22:11

Love it

Thymeout · 07/02/2019 22:13

No. For my generation, it's a joke name that you'd give to a battleaxe of a woman. Aggie makes me think of 'gag', 'gagging'.

Ravenclawclassof84 · 07/02/2019 22:16

I love it.

PenCreed · 07/02/2019 22:17

My first serious boyfriend now has a daughter called Agatha. It’s one of many reasons I’m glad we didn’t last.

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 07/02/2019 22:21

Yuck

Ribbonsonabox · 07/02/2019 22:22

Really really really LOVE it!!!

jackstini · 07/02/2019 22:37

I do like it - cant not associate it with Taggie a la Jilly Cooper but that's not a bad thing - love her character!

dontlikebeards · 07/02/2019 22:57

I love it, agree with pp that I would encourage Taggie as a nn rather than Aggie.

fargo123 · 07/02/2019 22:58

Dreadful.

Aquilla · 07/02/2019 23:03

No way would I be letting my 8 year old son go into men's changing alone! You must be extremely naive if you think your situation constitutes the biggest risk, OP!

Aquilla · 07/02/2019 23:04

Aaaaaaand clearly I have the wrong thread!

Badgerstmary · 07/02/2019 23:07

Love it! Isn’t even the baby/ old lady in the Nanny McPhee films?

Bouncingbelle · 07/02/2019 23:09

One of the ugliest names out there imo.

Davros · 07/02/2019 23:17

It just sounds Swedish to me. And ugly

questabellatreetop · 07/02/2019 23:23

@notgivingin78910
The name reminds me of a character in Matilda....forgot who.

Er, just a shot in the dark but was it Agatha by any chance?

birdseatworms · 07/02/2019 23:28

I love it!
