To be annoyed at woman from DofE car crash?

Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

Allegedly she was initially paid £20k for her story. I doubt anything would have shut her up in the face of that.

mydogisthebest · 21/01/2019 14:40

We don't know that the Duke doesn't have a medical exemption from wearing a seat belt do we?

I really hope this awful woman has not been paid £20k for her non story and I really hope that if Lulu's claims are true they are plastered over every newspaper going

ForalltheSaints · 21/01/2019 14:44

I'd want more than 20k if I was to degrade myself and appear on This Morning.

JellyBears · 21/01/2019 14:49

I love the royals but in this instance I think they’ve behaved very arrogantly and they need to apologise etc.

JellyBears · 21/01/2019 14:50

I don’t lke that lady tho she’s milking It for all it’s worth!

lljkk · 21/01/2019 14:50

Where was PP going? Was he alone in his vehicle, where does he drive to alone? Is it SAFE for Royals to wander around in public on their own?

I don't care about the rest.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 21/01/2019 14:51

She won't get an apology as they're seen as admissions of fault in an accident.

She is just trying to cash in on the fact her car crash involved a well known person. Quite frankly it's disgusting.

ilovemilton · 21/01/2019 14:54

Not even her car. Her friend's. Who is behaving much more appropriately.

samphireaidee · 21/01/2019 14:56

Well there's a reporter at the accident scene 10 mins ago !

ExFury · 21/01/2019 14:57

The lady in waiting called her and she didn’t answer so they left a message on her voicemail. The police have been trying to call her but she hasn’t answered.

Yet she’s managed to organise multiple interviews. Funny that.

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/01/2019 14:59

Wish I’d seen Lulu’s story

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 15:00

wow so someone has been in touch and want the story as apparently the media outlets aren't happy about her story and something's not adding up..... so mumsnetters.... do i do it?! Terrified now!

ThanosSavedMe · 21/01/2019 15:01

Damn. I now want to know what Lulu said too!

ZogTheOrangeDragon · 21/01/2019 15:01

Yes Lulu!

ajandjjmum · 21/01/2019 15:05

So long as you are sure of your facts Lulu, and a confident person, go for it.

SquishyFishy · 21/01/2019 15:05

Do it! because I want to know what the story is and missed it on here!

StarJumpsandaHalf · 21/01/2019 15:05

@LuluBellaBlue I assume any outlet you sold your story to would check the proof and so all the facts stack up and are evidenced, so why would you not? If you could finally be recompensed and not out of pocket any more so much the sweeter that it all came about because of the person who put you in that position to start with.

MyGuideJools · 21/01/2019 15:06

I've just watched her on this morning off the back of this thread. I agree with the OP
Emma says she was very surprised the Prince didn't rush over to her and check if she was ok. why should he? when I had a crash the person who hit me didn't rush over and I didnt expect him to.
She says she has other injuries but I'm sure the hospital would have checked her over at the time.
Also something fishy going on with the friend, Emma says the husband sent her a very formal email.
I don't like the woman, she seems to be milking the story for all she can get.

RomanticFatigue · 21/01/2019 15:06

Do it Lulu!

MargoLovebutter · 21/01/2019 15:08

LuluBellaBlue if you are able to back up your story - why not? Make sure you get at least as much as you are being chased for - that would be a massive weight off your shoulders.

Elfinablender · 21/01/2019 15:08

Depends how much they are offering Lulu. If you are going to do this, ring around.

MyGuideJools · 21/01/2019 15:09

And lulu I missed your story so yes do tell! especially if it puts this woman in her place. There's something about her that I don't like! and I don't very often day that about people. Do it!

CantWaitToRetire · 21/01/2019 15:11

If this will help you with the money you were screwed over for then YES! Absolutely go for it and expose her for what she is. You say you have the texts/emails, so sounds as though you have lots to back up your claims.

DO IT. DO IT. DO IT. I'm sure no one on here who managed to read your posts would blame you for doing so.

Make sure you get the very best deal for your story though Lulu Grin.

Bluelady · 21/01/2019 15:12

Lulu, as long as your story is true, please tell it and get enough money to eradicate the debt.

Slatkater · 21/01/2019 15:16

I didn't see your story someone pm me, I'm nosey, but I think she has ripped you off for money. I say go for it, expose her for what she is and if you make any money it's compensation for anything you have lost. The Queen will probably also make you a Dame in her Birthday Honours.
