To be annoyed at woman from DofE car crash?

ilovemilton · 21/01/2019 10:52

Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

I also think that you should, Lulu, especially if she is still in a postion to take advantage of vulnerable people.

LuckyLou7 · 21/01/2019 15:19

I would definitely sell my story if I were you @LuluBellaBlue, if (reading between the lines) this woman has done something to harm you and yours. Just don't leave yourself open to counter claims from her. Make sure everything you say is based on evidence.

Biker47 · 21/01/2019 15:19

All sorts of organisations don't carry car insurance. They are referred to as "self insuring"

This is correct, if you deposit £500k with the Accountant General of the Senior Courts, you are exempt from needing a conventional motor insurance policy. You're still liable for the costs to a third party if the accident is your fault though.

ExFury · 21/01/2019 15:19

Emma says she was very surprised the Prince didn't rush over to her and check if she was ok.

I find it very bizarre that anyone, regardless of fault, would expect a man in his late 90’s who had been trapped in his car and had to be assisted out via the sunroof or windscreen to rush over and check on her.

StephanieNicks · 21/01/2019 15:22

Lulu - did the media outlet contact you via MNHQ?

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 21/01/2019 15:26

Well she isn't coming out of this well at all. Hmm

And I didn't even see Lulus posts pre-deletion.

She's deluded if she thinks contact from a lady is waiting doesn't count and is expecting Liz or Phil to call round in person.

badlydrawnperson · 21/01/2019 15:28

Emma says she was very surprised the Prince didn't rush over to her and check if she was ok.

"Witness Roy Warne said the duke asked about their welfare after the crash."

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46918039

Verbatim from the account "He was obviously shaken, and then went and asked if everyone else was alright"

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 15:28

Thank you everyone, you’ve reassured me I’m doing the right thing.
Not out of revenge but actually seeing as she works with vulnerable people and user her knowledge of mental illnesses to do what she did to me, then exposing the facts can’t be a bad thing!
I’ve stated I don’t want a payment or any funds to go to a charity.
I’m not going to profit from another’s misfortune - even if it means paying the full amount myself!
I just hope this may make a tiny shed of decency she has left and get her to do the right thing

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 15:28

And sorry for those asking that I can’t state anything Hmm

Nicknacky · 21/01/2019 15:29

Good on you, especially as you have declined payment.

ilovemilton · 21/01/2019 15:29

Yes Lulu, yes!

Anapurna · 21/01/2019 15:30

I agree with the poster who said the woman gives off a bad vibe. The Royal Family will be pleased at the way she is shooting herself in the foot.

Anapurna · 21/01/2019 15:31

Whaatever you intend to do, Lulu, it sounds as if it will redress the balance. You have every right to put the record straight.

IamThereforeIdontIdentify · 21/01/2019 15:38

@LuluBellaBlue I didn't read your posts. It sounds like you have cast iron proof about the type of person she is. If you're declining payment, make sure this is stated clearly at the beginning of any article written - otherwise it'll only be us who know!

CantWaitToRetire · 21/01/2019 15:44

Wow Lulu! Respect to your for declining payment. There is opportunity there for you to redress the balance and get back some of what she owes you, but I admire you doing this your way.

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 15:44

Will do! Thanks everyone and sorry OP @ilovemiltonfor derailing your thread I just couldn’t help when I saw what you’d written. You’re obviously more perceptive than I was!!

samphireaidee · 21/01/2019 15:46

well thats interesting; just drove back to kings lynn past the scene. Exact same route as Emma. Its interesting that she says they saw the car from 150 yards. Well unless she has x ray vision through trees, plus approaching the junction is going uphill. ..... I`d say 50 yards actually!

Coppermine · 21/01/2019 15:48

Will we be seeing you on This Morning tomorrow Lulu GrinGrin

samphireaidee · 21/01/2019 15:49

As long as youre factual and its truth (in case she tries to sue or something daft), go for it. By the sound of it (youve tried police etc, written evidence etc) you`ll be fine.

Bluelady · 21/01/2019 15:50

I knew the weather wouldn't be the only thing she lied about. What next?

And hats off to you, Lulu, for turning down payment. You're a better woman than me.

ItsMEhooray · 21/01/2019 15:53

Good for you Lulu, if I were you I would take enough payment to cover what you're being chased for though and maybe run it all by a solicitor if you have time.

Flowerfae · 21/01/2019 15:56

The thing is, I doubt she'd be doing all this or getting a written apology if it was just some normal person who had crashed into her, you just exchange insurance details and that is it.

SaveKevin · 21/01/2019 15:59

Good on you lulu, kicking myself I missed your post now, but I’m guessing I’ll read all about it tomorrow.
The woman should have checked her shit didn’t stink before running as fast as she could to the papers.

samphireaidee · 21/01/2019 16:02

more holes in her story than a sieve! What with her 150 yards visibility of his car, no sun ( Ive de bunked that), plus it turns out phone message HAD been left, her not replying to police.....goes on and on doesnt it. PLUS Lulu`s backstory. There were a couple of cars waiting to pull out the junction today, so good clear view when I COULD see them.
