To be annoyed at woman from DofE car crash?

Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

Those who said the Kia must have been speeding to knock over the DoE's car, think again. We had a video on our local community FB page recently and it showed one car going down the road at around 30mph and another car suddenly pulled out from a parked position, so not moving exceptionally fast, but it hit the moving car at just the right angle and it went rolling across the road. I was shocked at how easily it could happen because the assumption is always that the driver of the rolled car was doing something reckless but I've learnt that that isn't always so.

Lulu isn't the one who has done wrong though

You have no idea who has "done wrong" or been wronged. You may or may not have seen the deleted post (I did and I reported it) but we have no way of confirming it's veracity.

Completely agree. The salivating and thigh-rubbing on this thread is extremely crass.

Absofuckinglutely.

I think the Sun may be a bit fucked off that they didn't get Emma's story and are happy to do a hatchet job.

Wouldn't it be funny if you both used the same press agency!

VanGoghsDog · 22/01/2019 10:04

the new one he had delivered within a nanosecond had some sort of metal rods within the windows

As it seems to be another Freelander it can't be new new, they've not been made for years.

Simonfromharlow · 22/01/2019 10:16

I read the new freelander was one that was sent over from another one of their estates.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 22/01/2019 10:51

If Emma had any decency, I would have expected her to contact Lulu and say "I'm being paid so can give you some money back". Of course her original behaviour to Lulu shows she has none, so that was unlikely.

I understand those urging caution as some people will say "they're as bad as each other for going to the press" but if Lulu gets the chance to recoup some money that would be good. Lulu, you could always give half to charity (and make sure the paper says that).

Has the story made it into today's press?

badlydrawnperson · 22/01/2019 10:53

Wow - an update from our engineering correspondent.

jessstan2 · 22/01/2019 10:54

I just had a look online and there's nothing new.

Ucangourownwoo · 22/01/2019 10:55

I agree with the posters saying be careful lulu- once things are out it's hard to contain them again. By this point it's probably too late to retract though.

Absentwomen · 22/01/2019 11:07

.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but I'll just leave this here.

I wouldn't read too much into the left or right arm thing, media often flip pictures, probably so people are facing the 'right way'

Keepingtabsonyou · 22/01/2019 11:31

Eliza I'm not sure what that's meant to suggest. It's just that the photo's been flipped. Happens all the time.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 22/01/2019 11:42

Papers ‘flip’ photos all of the time. I thought everybody knew that.

Cassie71 · 22/01/2019 11:46

Is it in the Sun, what page ?

NOTthepinkranger · 22/01/2019 11:49

Imagine selling a story to or reading The Sun Envy- not envy.

Scum of the earth

ajandjjmum · 22/01/2019 12:05

If I was Lulu, and had £8K bills coming through my door for someone else, I'd happily tell the story to anyone who would listen.

CantWaitToRetire · 22/01/2019 12:14

Often people don't sell stories to any particular paper. You speak to a news agency and they sell the story on. In this case Lulu didn't choose which paper, the agency did, and she has said she has refused payment, so she's not even selling her story, just getting it out there. Who cares which paper it is anyway, as long as this money grabbing woman gets her comeuppance.

It's very judgemental to mock people who read The Sun and makes you come across as a not very nice person.

Choccywoccyhooha · 22/01/2019 12:43

I don't think it's about mocking people who read The Sun, more about the despicably immoral practices of this particular newspaper.

Anyway Lulu, I think you've done the right thing. Good luck.

GabsAlot · 22/01/2019 12:53

good luck lulu i hope u get something to compensate for what she done to you

i dont buy any newspapers but hopefully can see it online

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 22/01/2019 13:18

I’m happy to judge anyone who reads The Sun as being a despicable moron.

Have a little think about their ‘reporting’ on Hillsborough, then justify labelling me as ‘not very nice’ for my contempt for The Sun and anyone who reads it.
