Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

I agree that it seems far more likely that the other was speeding. A Kia would surely have to be going some to topple his car?

Maybe that's why the driver is keeping quiet?

There is nothing at all to say the other driver was speeding. It’s a 60 limit.

It was reported that hrh was breathalysed. As is anybody who is involved in an rta which the police attend.

I generally find that people who live in the countryside drive very fast as they are used to open roads and light traffic. I know a road which is two lanes with several sharp bends and the speed limit is 50 mph, locals take the bends a lot faster.

I dont think this woman realises how stupid she looks. I lost total interest when i saw her photo. Its more classy be keep quiet and let insurance deal with it. Still cant believe shes only 28 she lots alot older. Interested to see tomorrows papers. Go lulu x

How could he have been speeding if he just emerged from the junction. Not defending him but that is a ridiculous leap.

To be fair, Lulu’s story might not be picked up by any papers at all.

As always on threads like this, there are a fair few posters who refuse to let facts get in the way of their opinions.

I agree she can’t have her cake and eat it. She expects him to be treated like everyone else but the fact she is all over the media and demanding an after the fact apology means she is not being treated like joe bloggs either. Someone smashed into us when we had a baby and yes I was furious but the. The insurance companies dealt with it and it didn’t even cross my mind that no apology came after. Rarely would someone contact the other party after an accident and I’m sure insurance companies discourage it.

I’ve not heard anything from the press agency so no idea, and yes I imagine they may be gathering more info as there’s some public records and other people involved.
I promise to update you fellow mumnetters as soon as I know anything.
