To be annoyed at woman from DofE car crash?

Whatever we think about Prince Phillip and his driving, the accident happened and two ladies were unfortunately hurt.

However, I am watching This Morning and getting some level of rage about the clear compo grabbing attitude of this lady! Crashes happen every day and she has no need to be splashed across every news paper and programme because she wants an apology!

The Royal Family have even said they have tried to be in touch but not getting a response. What does she want?!

Lulu so who are you telling your story to? Unless someone else wants to PM me? Please

samphireaidee · 21/01/2019 17:20

anyone who`s got an OS map (on bing maps) of the scene will see that going west to kings lynn from snettisham on the A149 theres a dip at "cats bottom" (yes that makes me chuckle) and you come up a hill towards the babingly junction. its all trees on both sides. visiability of cars pulling out (or from the drivers view coming out the junction) is limited . not defending PP.

Norfolkbumpkins · 21/01/2019 17:23

Gutted to miss all of this!

Back to the original op though - going on there all miserable and sad is a massive money grab. Anyone with any class would have dealt with it quietly and behind the scenes.

I live very close by and they are papping literally anyone in a landrover/range rover on the roads at the moment.

Norfolkbumpkins · 21/01/2019 17:24

Yeah @samphireaidee the visibility isn't great at all there.

peridito · 21/01/2019 17:27

mydog I don't really know ,I actually think a bunch of flowers would have been nice and appropriate . A lady in waiting leaving a message and phrases like "remember us " ( or whatever it was ) just seem to underline that the Royals are out of touch .

Surely they have PR advisors that could guide them ?

I do understand that this wouldn't normally happen in an accident ,but this isn't a normal set of circumstances .And I don't see why ,just because it doesn't normally happen that it shouldn't .

I understand that a driver shouldn't admit liabilty but this is a rich entiteled family and sending some flowers wouldn't hurt them ,would be a nice gesture ( much nicer than being photographed driving a replacement car with no seat belt being worn 2 days later ) and I'm quite sure some PR guru could come up with some sympathetic wording which wouldn't admit liability .

samphireaidee · 21/01/2019 17:27

its supposed to be samphire lady, but i spelt it wrong lol! oh well......

CatsCatsCats11 · 21/01/2019 17:30

Blatantly place marking to follow lulus story in the morning missed it due to bloody playgroup!

Bluelady · 21/01/2019 17:32

Am really hoping there's going to be a link on this thread.

LuluBellaBlue · 21/01/2019 17:36

I don’t know who they are going to sell it into as it’s a press agency that contacted me.
Thanks again for the support and encouragement Grin

SaveKevin · 21/01/2019 17:39

Lulu if you need a laugh have a look at all the comments on twitter after her video clip. 600 comments, it’s very funny.

Urwotu8t · 21/01/2019 17:40

If they made you wear a pair of neutral court shoes and a hideous frumpy shift dress in a primary colour, it will be the Daily Mail.

Did they try to make you do a sad face photo whilst holding evidence, or an crossed arms angry face one?

Pfingstrose · 21/01/2019 17:43

Good luck with it Lulu!

Pfingstrose · 21/01/2019 17:45

'Did they try to make you do a sad face photo whilst holding evidence, or an crossed arms angry face one?'

This actually made me lol @Urwotu8t Grin

BlueThesaurusRex · 21/01/2019 17:45

Is it wrong to be really excited about thisGrin

againseriously · 21/01/2019 17:48

All the very best Lulu. I think you're doing the right thing. If everything you've said is true, this is a brilliant chance for retribution for you. I was watching this from earlier today and, with the others, was hanging on your every word!!

As some wise poster mentioned sagely up thread, you need to check your shit doesn't stink before you put it out. I don't care much for royals but there is something about this lady that seems a bit shady.

God knows I wouldn't ever go to the press publicly about anything. People have too much shit on me. There's defo too much that people know that would mess things up. Probably why I never had a public career. 😂😂

Can't wait for the media shit storm. Wonder if she knows shit's going down yet? They'll have to get her comments on issue.

Groovee · 21/01/2019 17:51

I've missed Lulu's posts but have seen the woman whinging in various places that she hasn't had a sorry. Interesting that the driver is being very quiet.

LutherLover · 21/01/2019 17:51

Someone please say what this other woman has done

againseriously · 21/01/2019 17:54

No one wants to be defamatory here, albeit that what we say is hearsay.

This will be out by the morning, I expect.

It's quite good stuff. Worth the wait!

mydogisthebest · 21/01/2019 17:55

peridito, sorry but I don't agree that flowers should have been sent. Pretty sure this woman would still have moaned. Probably the bouquet would not have been big enough or expensive enough. Or she would have said they were trying to be nice to keep her quiet.

Could I get a pm too please

localfluff · 21/01/2019 18:00

Oh dear. I expect wrist woman is going to have a somewhat sleepless night.

Barreleyefish · 21/01/2019 18:02

Nothing has ever happened in my life to indicate Karma is a real thing. Here’s hoping it is and Lulu gets to experience it. Good luck.

Mybigmessyhair · 21/01/2019 18:13

yes, I can see where she’s coming from but she’s one of the lucky ones

Many people have lost someone in a car accident and they’ve never received an apology due to lawyers telling them to never admit guilt.

My family never got one when an elderly driver smashed head on into a car my grandfather was a passenger in who then died in agony, we know this because he said so before he went under.
So why does she think she’s going to get one? needs a reality check if honest

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 21/01/2019 18:16

Please can I have a pm too?
