why why why would anyone want to do this to a three year old????? I went to a childrens party at the weekend, there was a lovely little girl there with the most awful blingy "diamond" earings pulling her ears down - ear piercing hurts, it is tantamount to child abuse IMO.

I've just been out for more peop corn, boy is it needed!

I saw a boy at the junior school gates this morning with both ears pierced - and some lovely diamonte studs. Very sparkly.

Just to clarify what I've missed.. toy23 are you dyslexic, and working class?

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:03

yes im divastrops dp

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:04

i am working class and im dyslexic

MrsScavo · 27/06/2007 14:06

Sorry, I'm only educated to A'level standard, please bear with me (and my poor splelling/ lazy typing)

toy 23, you are divastrops DP, and dyslexic, yes?

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:07

yes thats right

MrsScavo · 27/06/2007 14:08

Sorry, crosssed posts. All is clear. Let me congratulate you on your fine spelling, it's aparently better than mine. It's just your basic grammer that needs a bit of work.

schneebly im not being out of order,i just being me.If people are to snobby and stuck up in this forum. To whant to hear a workingclasses point of view. They should rename the forum to SNOBSAREUS

inverted snobbery on your part I think

why come on this forum if it irritates so much?

your comment that was deleted was nothing to do with your class, or indeed anything else, it was racist.

and i am not a big fan of sweeping generalisations, and i;m pretty sure you don;t speak for everyone who is working class

MrsScavo · 27/06/2007 14:14

SNOBS R US - Maybe?

Mind you it is MUMSNET, and I don't let my DP anywhere near, he'd upset everyone far too much

MarshaBrady · 27/06/2007 14:18

Lol MrsScavo lol some of the stuff my dh has to say about mumsnet.... ooooh

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:18

MrsScavo yeh thats reason divastrop dont let me on much. The funny thing is she has very simlar views to me the only difrence is im not affraid to say what i think.

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:22

lulumama

If my views are racist then so be it i dont care i will stand buy my views.

You ask why i come on this forum if i find it irritating. The only thing i find irritatig is that im called rasist yet seems to me peple are racist about classess and just hide it behind genralisation.

schneebly · 27/06/2007 14:24

toy23 - why dont you shuffle off to a BNP forum somewhere. I am sure you would be much more at home.

lulumama · 27/06/2007 14:24

so , it makes racism ok, if people make disparaging comments about class

if you are happy to make racist comments , so be it

no point trying to argue the toss with you

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:35

I never once said that racism is ok.I have only said i am not going to change my views even if they do seem racist.

Also what difrence is it making comments about class or culture in my eyes its all racism in difrent forms.

Soph73 · 27/06/2007 14:37

urbandryad - Maternity Hospital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Soph73 · 27/06/2007 14:39

Who was it who just said they´re getting more popcorn? Could you pick some up for me as well ....

HappyDaddy · 27/06/2007 14:46

toy, you think racism is wrong but you're happy to be racist yourself?

theurbandryad, class has sod all to do with it. My dw wants dd to have her ears pierced, but i don't. We're both working class, hard working and have done well in the workplace.

To generalise about class is lazy, as it means your argument has a point. It doesn't.

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:53

HappyDaddy yeh i think racisim is wrong, my views may seem racist but thats my view.If people see them as racist why should i care, thats there problem not mine.I dont mean to come accross as being racist but if i do then so be it.

donnie · 27/06/2007 14:54

what did you say that was considered racist?

LaBoheme · 27/06/2007 14:56

So much ill treatment is made justifiable in society by terms Culture, Tradition and Religion. Surely some things - like piercing a babies ears - are just wrong and should transcend these boundries.

HappyDaddy · 27/06/2007 14:57

So you're happy to be a racist. Don't be surprised if you find yourself with fewer and fewer friends. Racism is disgusting and you should be ashamed.

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:58

I cant remeber exsacly what it was but something along the lines of.If people goto another country they should exsept that countrys culturre and if dident like it go bk to there own.

toy23 · 27/06/2007 14:59

HappyDaddy so be it you think im rasist there are a lot more people that are rasist around than you think.I know many of people who have same views as me.

donnie · 27/06/2007 15:03

oh I see. What has this to do with ear piercing though?

toy23 · 27/06/2007 15:04

donnie some1 mentiond that ear pearcing was part of there culture.
