Getting fed up of him promoting his mates/people who scratch his back. He lives in a world where everyone is middle class and wealthy with young kids and this is who he broadcasts to. Yes, I know I can turn him off and will do so - the Noel Edmonds back-slapping and promotion interview has just pushed me over the edge!

Agreed. I have listened to R2 breakfast for years but even I'm getting a bit fed up now. I was looking forward to hearing what Steve Peters had to say about his new book last week but all we got was Chris' views at length. Poor Steve Peters could hardly get a word in edgeways. And don't get me started on the plugging of Noel the vet's book....

Totally agree. It’s like listening to a little clique. He and the rest of them always come across as self-congratulatory and smug to me. And so loud, not what I want to listen to first thing in the morning. Zoe Ball will be a huge improvement.

Him and Edmonds and the constant running around shouting ruined the 90s.

Zoe Ball will be a breath of fresh air after all this old boys club nonsense we've had to endure from Evans.

So very pleased when I heard he was (finally) leaving. I don't like loud shouty people at the best of times, and I like my mornings calm and peaceful so have avoided R2 for years. I can't imagine ZB will be calm and peaceful tho. She does her 'manic' thing on It Takes Two and uses the same shlick since her R1 breakfast show decades ago. Cue chums laughing at her jokes in the background

I can't hack any radio djs to be honest. Anyone that fond of the sound of their own voice and that sure that they have enough to say to do it day in day out just doesn't gel with me - in real life or on the radio.

I have given up on R2, between Chris Evans when I am in the car in the morning, Jeremy Vine and all the Daily Mail readers getting to be on air, Steve Wright and his sycophants in the afternoon, the torture of Jo Whiley destroying the evening drive time show, there is no point in the day where I want to listen any more.

I was OK until last week, when he just didn't know when to stop! All that Del Boy' mum and it was love wot dunnit schtick!

I tuned to R4E and listened to whatever play was on!

Now we just need someone to realise that Steve Wright is a truly irritating pillock, well past his 1986 Sell By date. What was humerous then really isn't any more (remember the pop quiz?).

I may have to admit defeat and stay on R4E, especially now there's a Popmaster podcast!

Jo Whiley and Simon Mayo have certainly got a lot more warmer/giggly (which is vom inducing) towards each other since Mayo announced he was leaving Rad 2 - funny that!

I have found my people! I can't stand Chris Evans in the morning (mind you, I never liked Terry Wogan much either). Like Ken Bruce (particularly Pop Master) but turn off Jeremy Vine.

And don't get me started on Steve Wright, particularly Sunday Love Songs which is vomit inducing.

I switched off 6 months ago. I miss Terry, he spoke to two people, you and the other listener. You felt part of the show whereas now it's all Chris Chris Chris and his chums and I felt totally alienated. I mostly listen to the local station (ads are infuriating) while dh has switched to r4.

All these 90s big heads are awful. A whole generation of them need to be terminated.

I also miss Terry Wogan. Haven’t listened to Breakfast properly since he left.

I really enjoy his show and I'm sad he's leaving. I would rather Sara Cox had taken over than Zoe Ball.

Chris Evans is arrogant, it's thinly veiled, but definitely there. It's definitely time for someone new.

I will miss Simon Mayo.

Please someone get rid of Steve Wright, he is unbearable. I can't imagine anyone under the age of 60 actually listening to his awful show.

Jeremy Vine never fucking listens to callers ( I don't blame half the time ) and likes to goad, constantly makes mistakes. What is with Dr Jarvis love too? She's always on the air.

It's the half-baked philosophy speeches that wind me up. Today's theme "Always get out of the left side of your bed if that's the side you left your slippers" that kind of vacuous bullocks.

I dont mind Steve Wright, yes he can be a bit of a pillock but at least he focusses on the listener and his interviews are actually interviews not "Famous person gets to listen to CE telling them all about himself".

I have nicknamed Jeremy Vine "Radio Daily Fail", so that gets switched off. And I agree that Drive Time went downhill as soon as JW joined.

Ken Bruce is all round wonderful and should be on all day every day!

I enjoy five live or LBC but the ads on the radio are irritating.
