The truth about having kids

I'm in my mid thirties - I am currently single and have no children.

I love spending time with my nieces and nephews and friend's children, but I have no desire to have my own. I have recently stopped seeing someone as he was desperate for a baby.

Can the parents out there give me some honest truths about what it's like to have kids. Does anyone wish they had made different choices?

Is there something wrong with me for not wanting to have them?

See I don't think it does get easier. Less inconvenient, sure. But easier? No. I find the worrying more intense as I get older. The toddler and pre school and primary years were easy... controllable. I guess I've had health worries manifest as mine get older so that had made things worse. But honestly? Those pre teen years were a doddle

I agree about the increase in worrying as they get older. I am also spending a lot of time ferrying DD about as bastard Northern Rail keeping striking or cancelling trains and she can't get to and from work.
