Posting for traffic as general health isn't helping!!

This may be too much information but I don't know how to get advice without giving the details! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tingling/buzzing in their nipples that could be a sign of menopause or pre menopause along with sore boobs. I have only had experience of it in pregnancy and I refuse to go there! My last period was only a day of oldish looking blood(sorry I said tmi) and then last week I had a few days of just a little blood when I wiped but nothing more. I am hoping this is all a sign I am heading to menopause and nothing more scary. Any ideas (apart from the unmentionable because I refuse to acknowledge that)

Have you done a test ?

twinkletoedelephant · 13/11/2018 21:15

Whispers....you should pee on a stick

sayitisntsojo · 13/11/2018 21:25

I can't, I can't be, my head is firmly in the sand in that regard. I am 40+ with 3 kids. I think it must be menopausal. I just need someone else to agree

Pee on a stick and if it’s negative I’ll agree with you.

KTyoupigeon · 13/11/2018 21:27

40+ I doubt is menopause - if you were saying you were 50+ then most probably! Good luck

TheVanguardSix · 13/11/2018 21:28

I had DC3 at 42.
I'd totally be peeing on a stick.

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 13/11/2018 21:28

It sounds more like pregnancy than menopause.

But it also sounds like it could be nothing. You need to pee on a stick.

SleepWarrior · 13/11/2018 21:31

Nothing anyone can say here will really put your mind at ease because it won't change the fact that you are concerned you could be pregnant! Get a test!

sayitisntsojo · 13/11/2018 21:33

@SleepWarrior I was hoping someone would come along and say 'they are the exact menopause symptoms I have/had' and then I would go back to burying my head. I may have to take the plunge tomorrow. It comes to something when I am hoping for a sign that I am hitting menopause!

POAS

Conseulabananahammock · 13/11/2018 21:35

If it Makes you feel better, ive recently had the same boob issues and checked several times and im defintley not pregnant. I do however have hormone issues and andenomyosis so wondering if its just a hormone fluctuation maybe?

sayitisntsojo · 13/11/2018 21:36

That's more like it. Hormone fluctuation

OP posts:
GinIsMyXmasSpirit · 13/11/2018 21:37

I’ve literally just POAS because I have exactly the same symptoms. Negative result... seriously hoping it isn’t anything more sinister.

ALemonyPea · 13/11/2018 21:38

POAS then if it's negative, book an appointment with your GP.

sayitisntsojo · 13/11/2018 21:39

I don't have a stick to pee on so it wouldn't be tonight anyway

OP posts:
Stormwhale · 13/11/2018 21:40

I have got that exact thing. However I am 11 weeks pregnant...

E20mom · 13/11/2018 21:41

I only have experience of that in pregnancy too!

Petalflowers · 13/11/2018 21:42

Ifs negative, make a visit to the gp to check,it’s nothing sinister. Any unusual boob symptom should be investigated, although hopefully it’s only something hormonal.

MrsJayy · 13/11/2018 21:43

I don't know why .pp is satying you can't be menopausal in your 40s of course you can i have been peri menoposal since i was 42 and now on hrt at 47 i get weird breast tingles and odd periods although doing a test if your first thing if you are unsure

Lymphy · 13/11/2018 21:44

There are NICE guidelines for irregular bleeding in women over forty,so do please go to your GP just to be on the safe side, but yeah they'd probably do a pt just to make sure anyway x

lauryloo · 13/11/2018 21:44

I think you need to POAS x

Sparrowlegs248 · 13/11/2018 21:44

I had this!! These exact same symptoms. Both times I was pregnant. (Sorry.....)

Eatmycheese · 13/11/2018 21:44

Happened with me three times. The third at 42
They are all asleep upstairs 😬

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 13/11/2018 21:46

I'm sorry OP but I too am joining the POAS brigade.
All of my pregnancies started like this.

gamerchick · 13/11/2018 21:48

Go to the shop and get it over with.
