Posting for traffic as general health isn't helping!!

This may be too much information but I don't know how to get advice without giving the details! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tingling/buzzing in their nipples that could be a sign of menopause or pre menopause along with sore boobs. I have only had experience of it in pregnancy and I refuse to go there! My last period was only a day of oldish looking blood(sorry I said tmi) and then last week I had a few days of just a little blood when I wiped but nothing more. I am hoping this is all a sign I am heading to menopause and nothing more scary. Any ideas (apart from the unmentionable because I refuse to acknowledge that)

This is how I knew I was pregnant - head out the sand time op.

(Well in the morning anyway)

DioneTheDiabolist · 13/11/2018 23:09

Oh that happened to me last year OP.Smile I am a few years older than you and I now have a baby. There's nearly 11 years between DS1 and DS2.ShockBlush

GinandGingerBeer · 13/11/2018 23:10

I'm predicting triplets.

cakedup · 13/11/2018 23:13

I reckon it's a girl.

TooManyPaws · 13/11/2018 23:13

I was born when my mother was 40, eleven years after her last... 😂

However, a friend's aunt really took the biscuit when she thought that she was entering menopause after four children; menopause turned out to be triplets.

PickAChew · 13/11/2018 23:16

Weird buzzy scalp, I'd say yeah, period, but buzzy nipples are something else. Hurty nipples for period but buzzy ones usually signify more significant boob expansion.

blackcat86 · 13/11/2018 23:17

I had this when I was pregnant and expressing. I still get it a bit now when looking at or thinking about DD (13 weeks).

unexpectedtwist · 13/11/2018 23:19

Please keep us posted.
I hope you get the result you want.

Penguin34 · 13/11/2018 23:24

You must know if you could be pregnant though? I'd remember if I'd had unprotected sex

KumquatQuince · 13/11/2018 23:24

POAS. And then tell us immediately!

Holy hell. One would be a shock, but triplets 😳

notapizzaeater · 13/11/2018 23:26

What contraception are you using ? Would it be bad news if it was positive ?

ShortyShortLegs · 13/11/2018 23:26

I was going to say the same as VisitorsEntrance...I've had strange periods and irregular bleeding for a few years, no one gives a shit Confused

I'm 41 and I've also had painful, aching breasts, odd nipple sensations and irregular bleeding. And, a few days ago I had the 'let down' sensation, completely out of the blue.
I'm definitely 100% not pregnant.

seventhgonickname · 13/11/2018 23:29

I had lots of symptoms during the period perimenopause but tingling nipples wasn't one if them.

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 13/11/2018 23:32

Lots of luck

WaxOnFeckOff · 13/11/2018 23:34

Yep OP I had all that in early 40s - menopause. I ended up doing a pregnancy test too despite the fact that DH had the snip 10 years beforehand and I hadn't been with anyone else! It was clearly negative btw.

Now in early 50s and haven't had a period for 6 years and not a regular one for a few before that.

WaxOnFeckOff · 13/11/2018 23:35

I had like electric shock type sensations in my nipples - i was really worried - no lumps or anything and since had a mammogram which was also fine. Only had the tingles for a month or two though and they went away.

JockTamsonsBairns · 13/11/2018 23:40

Op, if it's any consolation, I get that buzzy nipple sensation quite regularly and it's been going on for a couple of years. I'm definitely not pregnant, and haven't been pregnant for ten years. I'm sure I'm heading for the menopause - and I'll be 46 soon.

Also, no GP has ever been remotely interested in my irregular periods!

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 13/11/2018 23:41

Hmmmm. POAS!

MollyHuaCha · 13/11/2018 23:48

Good luck OP.

Dolly2222 · 13/11/2018 23:48

Wtf

hooveringhamabeads · 13/11/2018 23:53

I was slightly concerned as for at least a week I had the tingly/sore boobs thing and I’ve only had that before when pg. Didnt see how I could be but it was enough to freak me out.

Then I got my period the other day. Phew!

Newbabyat47 · 13/11/2018 23:54

I’m 48 in January, my 8 month old is sleeping soundly beside me.

LittleBookofCalm · 13/11/2018 23:57

Wow! Shock Have you other children (you don’t have to answer that)? My cousin had her first at 45.
