Posting for traffic as general health isn't helping!!

This may be too much information but I don't know how to get advice without giving the details! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tingling/buzzing in their nipples that could be a sign of menopause or pre menopause along with sore boobs. I have only had experience of it in pregnancy and I refuse to go there! My last period was only a day of oldish looking blood(sorry I said tmi) and then last week I had a few days of just a little blood when I wiped but nothing more. I am hoping this is all a sign I am heading to menopause and nothing more scary. Any ideas (apart from the unmentionable because I refuse to acknowledge that)

POAS
But for balance, I'm 42 and definitely peri-menopausal. Some of my symptoms were similar to early pregnancy too.

LizzieBennettDarcy · 13/11/2018 22:32

I'm 48 OP and nowhere near menopause. Periods regular as clockwork even with a Mirena.

You need to pee on a stick.

Good luck.

steff13 · 13/11/2018 22:33

I wouldn't be able to sleep not knowing. Good luck!

Fashionista101 · 13/11/2018 22:33

Hey I know a 46 yo that's pregnant. Helpful....sorry. Good luck :)

mumsastudent · 13/11/2018 22:35

I always had v heavy erratic periods - as I never had morning sickness it made life interesting figuring out if I was pregnant or not quite frequently! No one ever suggested testing - imagine the fun of trying to work out due dates (first dc had due dates changed a few times) however you may be starting a perimenopause I believe that that can go on along time

IwantaHippopotamusForChristmas · 13/11/2018 22:36

CHecking in to see your pregnancy test result tomorrow. Morning. When you hurry back from the shop Grin
Also had Buzzy pregnancy nipples

Coffeeisnecessary · 13/11/2018 22:37

I get this before a period so could just be hormones. Good luck!

SneakyGremlins · 13/11/2018 22:38

I'm just here for the result Grin

kathmacc · 13/11/2018 22:41

I was 46 and mother of 4 boys -9 year old GIRL fast asleep upstairs!

NameWithChange · 13/11/2018 22:41

Oh. You did the deed as well. At the ripe of age of 42. Stick needed here.

MyCakeFellOnTheGrass · 13/11/2018 22:42

I’m sitting over with Gremlins.

brizzledrizzle · 13/11/2018 22:43

I had that three times, nine months later I was in labour.

SilverDragonfly1 · 13/11/2018 22:46

I occasionally get that tingling ache like when the milk was coming in. It definitely isn't, my son is 25 this year! Have been peri menopausal for a couple of years now. It actually happened today as I was walking home.

SilverDragonfly1 · 13/11/2018 22:46

Oh and I'm 43.

EggbertHeartsTina · 13/11/2018 22:47

I had that exact same thing about 14 weeks ago

I’m 14 weeks pregnant

Sorry...

EradicatetheDoubt · 13/11/2018 22:47

You may be due an extra period or something strange due to hormonal changes

nevermorelenore · 13/11/2018 22:48

I’ve had this too. Wasn’t pregnancy though. I think it’s somehow linked to my period. I’ve had the same sensation in err, other areas too!

Lymphy · 13/11/2018 22:48

@VisitorsEntrance absolutely, I'm a nurse practioner in sexual and contraception if any lady visits and describes irregular bleeding and are over 40 point out the guidance and send to Gp for possible investigation, a lot of the tine it's fine but should be looked at

Lymphy · 13/11/2018 22:51

I should really say abnormal or a change in bleeding as some ladies always have irregular periods if that makes sense

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 13/11/2018 22:52

How soon can you poas, OP?

VisitorsEntrance · 13/11/2018 22:55

Thanks Lympy. I mentioned it at the contraception clinic as it was the main reason I wanted contraception.
It got shrugged off.

ArsenalsPlayingAtHome · 13/11/2018 22:55

Fingers crossed that you get the result you are hoping for, OP, and that you manage to get some sleep.

I'm betting that you are NOT pregnant, but what do I know?

FantastikRik · 13/11/2018 22:58

Is there a possibility that you might be pregnant?

Iamtheoneandonly2018 · 13/11/2018 22:59

Hope you find out ASAP OP

EscapeFromHubby · 13/11/2018 23:02

I'm 39 and have had tingly, itchy nipples on and off for months along with an erratic cycle. Sometimes I can't even bear anything touching them. I used to be clockwork and now it's all over the place. I mentioned it to my doctor and she said it was probably hormone related although a blood test didn't give any indication of menopause but I feel I'm headed that way.
