Posting for traffic as general health isn't helping!!

This may be too much information but I don't know how to get advice without giving the details! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tingling/buzzing in their nipples that could be a sign of menopause or pre menopause along with sore boobs. I have only had experience of it in pregnancy and I refuse to go there! My last period was only a day of oldish looking blood(sorry I said tmi) and then last week I had a few days of just a little blood when I wiped but nothing more. I am hoping this is all a sign I am heading to menopause and nothing more scary. Any ideas (apart from the unmentionable because I refuse to acknowledge that)

I get this all the time and I've never ever been pregnant, what on earth does that mean!?

MrsJayy · 14/11/2018 09:35

Horaaaayyy Grin now make yourself a Gp appointment

MrsJayy · 14/11/2018 09:37

In fact I went to our nurse practitioner and she was more understanding than the Gp i had been to.

whitecatsandblackcats · 14/11/2018 09:39

I'm 46, no chance of being pregnant and I also get these symptoms, mostly in the build up to a period. And my periods are being weird too - I assumed it to be peri menopause.

drum123 · 14/11/2018 09:57

That's good news!

DaffoDeffo · 14/11/2018 09:59

yes I get them too and I'm a similar age. Peri menopause I think. I also did a few pregnancy tests just to be sure though!

Petalflowers · 14/11/2018 10:16

Congratulations, on Not being pregnant!

KitKat1985 · 14/11/2018 10:23

Pleased you got the result you wanted OP. Smile

apostropheuse · 14/11/2018 10:25

I'm glad all is well!

I had my last period at 38, I knew I was highly unlikely to be pregnant as I had been sterilised aged 29. (I was extremely fertile - I had 4 children in four years from age 25 to age 29). I thought it was probably a hormonal imbalance. It didn't enter my head that it would be menopause as my mother was mid fifties when she finished. Also, my period stopped the same month my mother died aged 62 after a quick illnes, so it was suggested that it might be stress.

Had blood test done - It was indeed the menopause.

Go see your GP and get checked out.

Feefeetrixabelle · 14/11/2018 10:45

Wooo the pre poas fear is paralysing sometimes. Have you been under the weather, in bed a lot this month (that could explain the short dark blood period). But get yourself checked out

Atchiclees · 14/11/2018 13:39

Phew op! I also POAS today after getting the same symptoms and also got a negative. I suspected it was a hormone wobble but better to check it out.

TigerMummy1 · 14/11/2018 13:48

I get this when I have ovarian cysts. Possibility?

ThanosSavedMe · 14/11/2018 15:35

Yay! Congratulations!!

Givemeyourbunsandyourbiscuits · 14/11/2018 16:18

BlueEyedBengal · 14/11/2018 17:50

And now breath and relax !

Graphista · 14/11/2018 18:45

Glad you got result you wanted but might be worth checking in for a breast exam at your surgery.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 14/11/2018 20:28

MollyHuaCha · 15/11/2018 00:31

Awww... and I had a little list of baby names to offer you as well.

PaulMorel · 15/11/2018 08:09

I knew it. Getting tested is only the way who can give you the exact result. Smile

TrippingTheVelvet · 15/11/2018 08:18
