I know Brexit has been done to death and I'm not asking for anyone's justification for wanting out or in.

I'm just really curious to know if any of the folks who voted leave have changed their minds (as is sometimes reported by the Guardian).

@rainbowquack. I wouldn't describe myself as `poor little me' at all.

I wouldn't be campaigning in public if I was terrified and vulnerable.

All I'm trying to do is redress the balance of Leavers being right wing thugs and Remainers being kind and virtuous by giving an honest representation of how Leave campaigners are treated. My treatment is no worse then that dished out to others.

Most people are indifferent, a few engage politely but there is a vocal minority of Remainers who are abusive and aggressive and cannot cope with anyone having a different view to their own.

Incidentally, I haven't seen any Remain campaigners being verbally abused out on the campaign trail but this is only my experience.

It's interesting being accused of `telling half a story' (I guess you mean lying) by a keyboard warrior who is unlikely to have any experience of direct action or campaigning who would prefer to belittle others from the comfort of their armchair.

God, people need to get over it, get a grip and give themselves a shake. The government will fuck us all over, whether it’s Tories or Labour, whether we Leave or Remain. we’re all going to hell in a handbasket so get used to it

Moussemoose · 15/11/2018 22:21

How, just how? How can you look at the mess the country is in knowing it will get worse and say you would vote for this?

It's beyond belief. This mess is what you voted for.

Leave voters are clever, educated, thoughtful people we are told and yet we stand surrounded by rubble and you claim you wanted this.

All the words used in place of arguments sovereignty, freedom, control are just jokes.

We will have less democracy, less sovereignty and a bugger of a lot more poverty, and you wanted this and would vote for this again?

And yes this was all entirely predictable, as was in fact predicted.

6triesbuttingout · 15/11/2018 22:22

I would vote the same way

Moussemoose · 15/11/2018 22:29

Since the war we've had good governments and weak ones, some PMs were brilliant and others not so much.

This is NOT business as usual, we can't all sit round and say let's blame the politicians. The U.K. public voted for this. Politicians made mistakes, there shouldn't have been a referendum but people went into voting booths and put crosses on paper.

We have no one to blame but ourselves. We get the politicians we deserve.

"Question for you, seeing I majorly misunderstand how NATO works...how was the brand new shiny HQ funded then, if the NATO allies don't pay something to NATO? "

Member states do pay into NATO for operations costs, but no nation is behind on their payments, the USA pays about 22% of this, Germany 14%. There is no debt account at NATO because no country owes money to this fund.

What you and Trump are talking about is the % of GDP spent on defense by each nation. So yes your previous point about NATO funding does demonstrate a major misunderstanding of that issue. Please don't attempt to confuse the issues again.

Also the US choose to spend more on defence, but as I said the Germans don't have a nuclear arsenal to maintain so that lowers their spending.
