I know Brexit has been done to death and I'm not asking for anyone's justification for wanting out or in.

I'm just really curious to know if any of the folks who voted leave have changed their minds (as is sometimes reported by the Guardian).

Voted Remain, still think we’ve made a massive error but am relieved that there’s a deal. Just hope that the slime balls get behind May now and support her rather than saying what a shit job she has done,

surferjet · 14/11/2018 12:26

DGRossetti

I think we’ve been completely stitched up.

@BorisBogtrotter

  1. There is not plenty of space. That's the whole point. Schools are full, hospitals are full, the m25 is a car park.
BorisBogtrotter · 14/11/2018 12:45

"Schools are full, hospitals are full, the m25 is a car park. "

None of those things are to do with immigration though.

I'd also question that schools are full when 87% of primary school children in England and Wales get their first choice, 95% one of the first two.

DGRossetti · 14/11/2018 13:08

DGRossetti I think we’ve been completely stitched up.

Surely not ? You wanted to Leave. This is leaving. You won. Get over it.

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 14/11/2018 13:14

Just watched MPs tearing lumps out of TM on the news. I fucking hate the lot of them at this moment.

She's got a bloody deal against all odds and when people said she wouldn't. I can't stand her politics but she has at least gone out there and got this deal.

I think anyone who wants to crash out without a deal is deluded.

My Dad (a staunch leaver) now feels that we are being sold down the river by politicians who couldn't give a shit about the outcome of this as long as they further their slimy careers. Looking long and hard at Boris "wander" Johnson here.

Chocolala · 14/11/2018 13:20

Ummm. We don’t have a deal.

We have a draft that might get past parliament. Maybe. Hard Brexit is still on the table.

And even if we do get it through, it appears to shaft everyone (remainers unhappy because we leave, leavers unhappy because we will have even less control over our laws and ‘sovereignty’ than was previously perceived within the bloc). Equal opportunity unhappiness.

Voted Remain. Happy with my vote.
I'm a prepper and I'm keeping my head down in rl.
My family will stay fed and once my dd 's Irish citizenship application is confirmed we will all in my house retain EU citizenship.

BorisBogtrotter · 14/11/2018 13:23

Oh and Dunkirk Spirit, add that too.

( Just please don't mention that Dunkirk was a massive defeat which ended with us leaving the majority of our military hardware in France, and was caused by the hubris of British politicans and generals.)

If he's only just realised that ....

BruegeITheElder · 14/11/2018 13:25

We have a draft that might get past parliament

And if it does, it will be worse than our current deal. So why are we doing this again?

Oh yeah! Because some people said we should! And we should respect the will of the people!

DGRossetti · 14/11/2018 13:29

Well I for one, am pleased that finally the government has gotten around to delivering the referendum result. Three cheers for Theresa May !!! Or should that be Lady May ?

We all need to pull together now, and put differences aside to make it work. You know - the way Leavers have told us we needed to for over two years.

surferjet · 14/11/2018 13:29

DGRossetti

I’m over it already Smile

bellinisurge · 14/11/2018 13:33

What do you mean @surferjet ? I'm old and to me "I'm over it" means I have made my peace with it and it doesn't trouble me any more. Is that your view about the reported deal or do you mean something else?

surferjet · 14/11/2018 13:41

bellinisurge

Tbh I don’t know the full details. I just place my trust in Nigel Farage & Boris Johnson & they both think this ‘deal’ is worse than if we’d stayed in.
If that is the case, the entire country has been fucked over. but as I said, I haven’t seen the full details ( has anyone ? )
But if this terrible deal ( according to Farage ) does get voted through I’ll have to suck it up and ‘get over it’ - & I will.

DGRossetti · 14/11/2018 13:42

I think Surferjet has completely got behind this development, and expects us to as well.

No argument from me. Glad it's all sorted.

Finally.

This deal is entirely Farage and Johnson's fault.

Blame them, and yourself for falling for their con tricks.

Patroclus · 14/11/2018 13:51

Can any of you defense experts tell me what is wrong with an intergrated euro army? at the moment russia would crush our armies. A united europe would probably defeat them.
