Not remembering how many people I've slept with?

Was on the other thread about do you wish you've had less or more partners and wondered whether others can remember exactly how many people they've slept with.

Is it horrific I can't! Not that I've forgotten any as much as I stopped counting!

I'm trying to make a list and think it's at around 30-50!

Is this an unusually high number! I didn't think it was but on the other thread it seems most people are at around 1-5!

You come in here to gloat about how wonderful you are and how you are a shag monster, and tell me I must be doing it wrong etc. In case you forgot the thread was about the fact you can't even remember all this "amazing" sex.... it must've been great. The you try and gaslight me by saying that by being careful about who I have sex with I need to get over myself and I'm not allowed to use whatever criteria I want. Oh, god. I have no idea. About 40 I think. YNBU. I was having a great time during my mid-twenties :-) If I sat down and really thought about it, I might remember them all. There's definitely a few very memorable ones, plus a few I'd like to forget...mostly it was lovely

I remember them all, not all with any joy :-). Out of the lot, maybe half a dozen were enjoyable or even memorable.

Much prefer being with my luvly husband.

I didn't meet DH until I was 33 so had 17 years of singledom having a great time. I think it's at least 70 or 80 probably.

Oh and we have been very happily married for 28 years so the idea that someone who has had lots of previous partners is going to cheat is patently wrong. Lots of partners and cheating have nothing to do with each other. I never cheated on anyone.

Shag monster I actually like the sound of that. Someone should market it.

One of my friends is a shag monster. His number is insanely high. Then around 20 years ago, he found the one that he wanted to be with for the rest of his life. She btw wasn't a shag monster. They were together for over 15 years. Got married. Had a child. She left him for another man. Turns out that the shag monster had stayed faithful and yes I believe him, whereas his ex, who hadn't been fucking around loads, cheated lots in their relationship.

I never cheated in my committed relationships either. Flings are different for me, and when I do have a fling I am always honest and let the other person know that it's not serious so we are both free to see other people, just to give each other priority when it comes to seeing someone.

Personally yes, I think it’s a very high number. If I knew a possible partners number of past women was that high it would put me right off.
