New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

I think it must be because this is her house (taken off the market now, thought she had to sell for the divorce?) and the sofa and bed linen is the same as the instapics.

I have a cousin, cut off now, like Coleen Nolan. Abrasive, quick to temper and does not care if they embarrass you in public. The “we’ve heard it all before” and “she’ll cry now” comments are normal to her. If she had done this to someone, she would also say that she hadn’t said anything. They can’t see it because no one has ever stopped them. They’re too scared they’ll set upon them.

Karma. We learn what we need to learn in this life I guess. She’s paid a big price but it’s accumulative. All the people she’s snapped at before will be smiling wryly. It’s a lesson that has hit her harder than most because of her ego and inherent sense of being wronged.

There’s a lesson for us all here. Be kind, swallow your pride, and don’t book a fight on tv the day before you want to announce your big 34 date tour...

Getting back to Kim Woodburn. I don't watch Big Brother but I did watch Kim on most episodes of How Clean is your house. And some of the people featured on there had been through some very tough times. I thought Kim was intuitive and intelligent and compassionate. A few were downright lazy and admitted it and she had a joke with them and I thought she had a good sense of humour. I thought the treatment dished out to her on Loose Women was despicable.

Didn't see your post wishingtrees. Agree with what you've said re Coleen Nolan. She comes over as having a very big ego though quite a fragile one.

Coleen Nolan doing a solo tour was always a laughable idea, She has no musical talent whatsoever and her attempt at singing is just a joke. I just hope that the handful of suckers members of Coleen's family who've bought tickets will receive a full refund. Apart from her vile obnoxious son who should have been made to sit through each excruciating event and pay the full ticket price for the privilege

Her singing is really poor and the decades of cigarette smoking have clearly left her quite breathless.

Watching cbb last night I couldn’t help but think of CN. Not her win, her banishment. She had all that and I remarked to DH that for the sake of being mean to another person she threw it all away. DH said she always would have, only a matter of time, because her meanness was drip drip drip, manybpeople fo tvlike her but they rub along for the sake of show biz and eventually she would have been exposed anyway.

What next for her? A magazine article when she has a life event that she’s arrogant enough to think we want to know about, will keep the money for even though she’s been outed about the fee she kept for supporting cancer and with an editor who knows people will read just to see how much weight she’s put on or his old she looks.

What she should do... apologise, say she will become a better person and work on that. Kim holds the key to her future.

Kim W is certainly intelligent. She understands the business (presumably by trial and error as she had little experience or training before she became one of the highest paid presenters on channel 4) and is a decent person albeit a harsh one. It’s that “firm but fair”, “give as good as you get” mentality that people see as Angry Woman. But actually that hard veneer is just that. A veneer.

CN on the other hand is firm and unfair. She’s spoiled, thinks she’s better then others and as she has got an average priced 4 bed instead of a two up two down, she thinks she made it compared to the likes of Kim but is bitter towards the likes of others who have made it more.

Just googled, Kim was the highest paid female presenter on Channel 4 when she had her own show. That alone is enough for the Nolans to dislike her. They’re jealous. They had to split their earnings and I think that was one of the reasons CN was so excited about the SOLO tour and how she kept saying it was to buy a farm. She linked it with money that would go just to her not to her sisters and she’s already spent it in her head!

Let’s face it, celebrity is a job title nowadays in the Uk. There are so many z listers around and ones that just float about not particularly well paid “..jobbing celebs” I call them and there’s a circuit of programmes and magazines to provide them with “work”. Coleen few real skills just like hundreds of other celebs out there, tabloid fodder and reduced to selling tedious stories to the red tops for not very much and appearing on “celebrity” programmes. The uk is so celebrity obsessed compared to many countries and most of these people are nothing but attention seeking non entities.

Yes you’re right. The culture in the U.K., maybe spawned from an ingrained class system, is that people have to cut down the tall poppies. The problem is when those in the public eye do it to others (as CN did to Kim) the public fight for the victim. Of course there will always be “sides” but once in a while, like with Coleen Nolan and Roxanne CBB, the public are massively on one side than the other.

So the celeb has to go slinking into obscurity. It’s a loss to them but not to others. The public don’t care, there’s always more where they came from.

Oh that’s actually quite sad all of those women had a link to cancer as well and the event took less for charity than they were paid.
