New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

Old thread here. Be warned it's long!

Thanks for new thread obvs

Everyoneiswingingit · 01/09/2018 22:52

I think JSP is a bit long in the tooth to smirk out of embarrassment.

50Running50

There was an incident on the tv programme “Loose Women” a few days ago which has sparked thousands of complaints (over 7000 to Ofcom alone) regarding the bullying of Kim Woodbury a guest on the show.

Get a life. These are no marks on TV. and that’s it really.

Who watches this crap anyway unless some sort of judgment/bitchiness is involved.

Too much investment in people we don’t know from Adam or Eve!

obviouslyperfect · 01/09/2018 23:02

keyboardkate oh well, we don’t expect you to comment if you’re not interested!

Everyoneiswingingit · 01/09/2018 23:02

Yes you're right but it could be so much better with better , professional panellists and more interesting debate.

explodingid · 01/09/2018 23:03

Joining new thread. Thanks obv.

Sleepyshores · 01/09/2018 23:03

keyboardkate if you don't care, why are you bothering to comment on it?

obviouslyperfect · 01/09/2018 23:04

Personally I am invested in the message this programme is sending out about bullying. Some of the stories on the other thread have made me cry. Bullying is a real issue and thousands are upset about it.

obviouslyperfect · 01/09/2018 23:10

I have no idea why my autocorrect turns Woodburn to Woodbury. I know no one by that name!

Also checking in. I really hope Kim is ok and knows how much support she’s had. She said she couldn’t use a computer so hopefully someone’s told her.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 01/09/2018 23:44

Thanks for the new thread perfect.

I'm interested to see how this pans out with LW. There hasn't been a response (so far as I am aware) and I'm wondering if they are just going to ry to brazen it out.

Sleepyshores · 01/09/2018 23:52

I think the lack of a response from LW is a disgrace. I watched LW the day after this occurred fully expecting a response and an apology to Kim, but there was nothing and there hasn't been anything since. This adds insult to injury. I think that LW is now at the same level as Jeremy Kyle and Big Brother and I hope that viewers switch off in their droves and that the show is soon scrapped.

derxa · 02/09/2018 00:10

I watched the clip again just in case I was imagining things. Nope. Still bullying and disgraceful. Sad

obviouslyperfect · 02/09/2018 00:19

The stupid thing is that an apology costs them nothing. Regardless of who started what, whether Kim was told Coleen would make up to her to lure her on, the goady music, the baying crowd, the judges robes (what the hell were you thinking JSP?) Colleen Nolan was a unprofessional, snide, muttering bully on a show she was compering. Her family members, on and off the programme, joined in like a pack of dogs.

Even so, the public is fickle. If she had apologised the next day instead of taunting the people calling her out with her “I don’t give a shit, I’ve got a secret you will all be desperate to know” attitude, it would be all but over right now.

As it is, Twitter is still vilifying her, the petition is still going strong with people signing every minute, even in the middle of the night, and thus the press are having a field day with the petition numbers.

Silly silly woman.

Coleen. One l!

OP posts:
Twenty1 · 02/09/2018 00:32

Not nice to view.

obviouslyperfect · 02/09/2018 00:36

And the other thing (!) is she was muttering “we’ve heard it all before” on a talk show, a show where you talk. I hadn’t heard it all before, loads of people haven’t. I didn’t watch big brother with them in it.

She acted like she was in her own sitting room, not the host a tv programme where people tune in to hear people talk about their lives.

So unprofessional!

Following with interest. What stands out for me is the amount of people commenting that it took them back to run ins with school bullies. Hope the No-one sisters get what's coming to them.
