New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

Thanks for new thread obvious.

Waiting here too for some response. How can they, with all conscience, pretend nothing happened??

Lovestonap · 02/09/2018 04:47

I wonder if the execs are hoping she'll resign?

GloGirl · 02/09/2018 04:50

Thanks for the new thread Brew

Movablefeast · 02/09/2018 05:11

As the producers set it up they have to take responsibility for the result and that people across the nation expect a response. They are showing their total lack of emotional intelligence by trying to ignore it. The longer they wait without a response the worst this will get, this is not going away.

FabulouslyGlamorousFerret · 02/09/2018 05:18

What is this 'big secret' that Colleen is revealing?? .. do we know what yet?

TheOxymoron · 02/09/2018 08:09

I don’t think she should be removed.

PipeTheFuckDown · 02/09/2018 08:24

“Coleen has something to say to you”

So they lured her on to the show with that? Knowing Kim would assume an apology but instead she just insulted and belittled her?

Hmm
Roussette · 02/09/2018 08:36

And they paid her of course. Don't blame her for hoping for an apology whilst getting a cheque!

superfly2018 · 02/09/2018 08:47

Sack Colleen and don't let that vile sister Linda back on either - disgrace of a woman.
JSP and Linda robson - you should know better, Shame on you both.

catherinedevalois · 02/09/2018 08:50

I wonder if they've all been told to keep silent and a statement is being prepared supposedly from all of them. I like to think TV bosses are hauling LW production team over the coals as we speak

QueenieMum · 02/09/2018 09:18

Why don't you think she should be removed @TheOxymoron? Honest question

TheOxymoron · 02/09/2018 09:34

QueenieMum
My view is the person that set the situation up lying to both parties in the name of entertainment should be dealt with.

knittedwoollenmouse · 02/09/2018 09:51

I think all the people involved should be ousted and the programme replaced with something that isn’t mediocre and stupid.

What was the matter with that current affairs discussion programme that used to be on years ago? The one like Kilroy. Can’t remember the name. At least with audience participation you got authentic people rather than these vacuous nobodies who whitter on about nothing.

QueenieMum · 02/09/2018 09:55

Completely agree @TheOxymoron. The Producers / production company have a LOT to answer for and should be made publicly accountable for what happened. However, any or all of the panellists could have chosen not to take part / stop when it started to be nasty / could have handled it differently so I do think the panel should take responsibility too.

I do think the Roxanne row on CBB may help. Both incidents happening around the same time have surely highlighted the need for production companies to take their duty of care to their participants seriously? Entertainment at any cost is NOT acceptable.

Everyoneiswingingit · 02/09/2018 09:55

I had no idea about Kim's issues either as I don't watch BB.

karmical · 02/09/2018 09:55

Loose women has dealt with MH issues, abuse, bullying, in the past. What happens in the future if Coleen Nolan stays on the program? She could never say a word against bullying and sound credible, even if she apologised now, far too late. She could never discuss abuse and sound sincere. She can’t talk about MH issues because, as we all heard, she finds it boring, she’s heard it all before...

So what do they do? Not let her on when those issues are discussed? Get her to leave the studio if the conversation turns to such matters? What about the guests that support Kim? Will they go on the show? Will they take her to task on live tv? It will overshadow every episode.

It’s riduculous, she cannot work in a format like LW anymore, she’s a bully. It doesn’t work.

karmical · 02/09/2018 10:18

Yes the producers have to be answerable but they didn’t force Coleen Nolan to be a bitch. She did that on her own.

From what I’ve read recently, the family seem quite rough. Perhaps the producers banked on that for ratings, knew she wouldn’t be able to help herself?

She doesn’t seem to have friends in the business though, NO ONE has come to her aid, that’s unheard of! You always get the soundbite celebs speaking out, if only to get their ten seconds of air time that day.

Dorcha · 02/09/2018 10:26

Im going to go against the grain and say J watched the loose women clip and thought Kim Woodburn was awful, screaming and shouting at everyone, it was weird. There is clearly something not quite right there and shouldn't have been on the show.

I didn't watch CBB at the time but watched the highlights on YouTube out of curiosity. Kim was an absolute bully, screaming at the other women, calling them 'stupid bitches' and 'silly little bitch'. It was shocking to watch. I've never seen a housemate behave so savagely.

Dorcha · 02/09/2018 10:27

*I watched

5minutes · 02/09/2018 10:34

Dorcha

That’s not true. She didn’t scream. She didn’t “shout at everyone”. Your exaggerating is immature, it’s all over the internet, we can all see what happened.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 02/09/2018 10:36

I know - I caught up with it on YouTube too as hadn't seen the footage of what happened in the BB house - how she carried on was disgraceful. As I said in a previous thread she imagines slights, turns on people aggressively, finger pointing and name calling and then when people defend themselves she accuses them of 'ganging up' on her. Am failing to understand all this defence of the woman. She's vile.

loobylou10 · 02/09/2018 10:41

Totally agree with you OneMoreCup.

Susiesoap7 · 02/09/2018 10:41

I just think they are both vile, nothing to choose between either of them!

5minutes · 02/09/2018 10:43

It doesn’t have to be one side or the other. The facts remain that they brought a vulnerable woman onto a programme to bear bait her and Nolan bullied her, belittled her abuse.

If we are holding people accountable for past wrongs then Linda Nolan being a thief (she stole benefits) ought to be brought up as well, why was a thief allowed on the programme?

birdsdestiny · 02/09/2018 10:45

It's exactly the same as the CBB situation, the producers set up a situation which is bound to end badly then throw all involved to the wolves.
