To think peeing in the shower is fine?

Dh thinks it's disgusting. I think it's fine.

The warm water makes me need a wee and I'm not going to get out, soak the floor, dry off and all that.

It's environmentally friendly as less toilet flushing

The water washes the wee away and it's only wee

I thought everyone did it occasionally.

OP posts:

I hold my wee so I can do it in the shower if I'm about to have one. Grin

StoatofDisarray · 21/08/2018 17:24

It's fine. You're already washing dried sweat and urine, and microscopic bits of faecal matter down the drain anyway, why not a little fresh pee? I assume you're showering with hot soapy water, so... shrugs I'm with you on this one, OP.

ALongHardWinter · 21/08/2018 17:52

Saves on water (no flushing),saves on toilet paper. What's not to like? Grin. I can't help it sometimes. Even though I practically always visit the toilet for a wee pre-shower,the feeling of warm water on my er,bits, quite often makes me want to go again so I do

speakout · 21/08/2018 18:05

I'm not keen on the smell.

I also have a shower curtain, so I imagine some urine droplets will end up on the fabric as water and pee mix around in the shower.

It's not for me.

Somersetlady · 21/08/2018 19:29

I’m guessing some users would be absolutely horrified by the fact inwee in my wetsuit in the sea to warm me up!!!

speakout · 21/08/2018 19:55

I doubt it.
That's pretty common knowledge.

Londonmamabychance · 21/08/2018 20:01

I enjoy weeing in the shower. It's so convenient. Of course it's fine, it goes into the drain. Would you also not wash your baby's poo off in the shower? I do that often as it's more convenient and makes it more clean than using wet wipes. I remove the biggest chunks w wipes but the rest gets washed off. To my knowledge my bathroom doesn't smell like poo. But then, maybe I just can't tell as likely the whole flat smells d baby poo Wink

AllDayBreakfast · 21/08/2018 20:08

I'm conflicted on this!

In theory it should be fine, but on the other hand I've smelled some decidedly pissy-smelling showers before.

1CantPickAName · 21/08/2018 21:19

I was recently in a water park on the south coast that had HUNDREDS of people and 4 ladies loos!!!!! I am so grossed out!!

I do pee in the shower. I pee in the loo, the shower and the sea, that’s it, nowhere else!

1CantPickAName · 21/08/2018 21:21

Pissy smelling showers mean a poorly cleaned bathroom ie: floor and toilet. How can your shower smell like pee unless you piss up the walls? Pee down when in the shower people!!!

Twillow · 21/08/2018 21:23

Godske not this again. You really CANNOT tell if someone has peed in the shower WHILE IT'S RUNNING, it's more water than a normal flush for godsake.

Canshopwillshop · 21/08/2018 21:28

Absolutely fine and my shower does not smell of piss though my toilet often does after 11 year old DS has been in 😅

sonithewoni · 21/08/2018 21:29

I pee in mine before the shower is properly running and stamp around in it a bit :-) read up on it....nothing like pee to get rid of hard skin on your feet (especially baby pee for some reason....some people pay for it!)

I have no hard skin and never have to scrub them :-) Go on....call me grotty! I don't care as I get so many comments about my silky smooth heels x

Strugglingtodomybest · 22/08/2018 08:13

Sorry Idontbelieveinthemoon I didn't notice that you'd replied to me before, but I've just spotted it so thanks.

Neshoma · 22/08/2018 08:17

It's no different to washing your nether-regions in the shower, with water splashing everywhere.

Dilemmacentral · 22/08/2018 08:42

Shower gym - absolutely
Home shower - not on your life

Everyoneiswingingit · 22/08/2018 10:27

Yep it's fine, it happens occasionally. Then again I am the one that cleans the shower!

Everyoneiswingingit · 22/08/2018 10:30

I don't get the 'grim' comments. These people wash their bums and fanjos in the shower, yes? These body parts contain particles of urine and faeces and vaginal secretions and menstrual blood at times. It all washes down the plug hole. Get over it!

Fisharesexy · 22/08/2018 22:57

What's the difference between that and having a shower when you are on your period.

DelBoysCrombieCoat · 22/08/2018 23:18

I pee in the shower, ex DP used to pee in the shower but then again we were one of those weird couples that didn’t ever shut the bathroom door, it wasn’t sexual in any way, we just wasn’t uptight about bodily functions.
My bathroom never smells of pee, it smells of Zoflora.
An old uni mate (female) used to pee standing up if she was wearing a skirt/dress, amazing skill for a woman to learnGrin and not a drip ran down her legs.

OneDayIWillBeOrganised · 23/08/2018 10:44

This is the topic of choice for This Morning today. Wonder where they got the idea Hmm

Everyoneiswingingit · 23/08/2018 16:09

Yes and Loose women voted on it. the whole panel said they thought it was fine as did the majority of the audience. Nadia Sawalha said she enjoys a wee in the shower! Grin

Jaffacakesfordinner · 23/08/2018 16:19

I think its fine.. youre washing grime, sweat etc down the plug hole anyway. People will say you shouldnt shower on your period soon..

OFuckShitAndBollocks · 25/08/2018 20:52

I have at last found my people!!!! I always pee in the shower, even if I've just had a wee, can't help it and wouldn't see the point as it's obviously totally fine.....despite what some crack pots think!

FranticallyPeaceful · 25/08/2018 20:57

I did it after birth (stitches) and after I had a catheter in when I developed sepsis, fucking hell the burn of pee after that catheter was removed made me feel was EXTREME.

But other than for for reasons like this, I don’t see why you wouldn’t just go before you got in?
