To think peeing in the shower is fine?
277

Missingsocks · 17/08/2018 19:54

Dh thinks it's disgusting. I think it's fine.

The warm water makes me need a wee and I'm not going to get out, soak the floor, dry off and all that.

It's environmentally friendly as less toilet flushing

The water washes the wee away and it's only wee

I thought everyone did it occasionally.

I am with your DH. Would defecate in the shower as well if you felt the need and though you could wash it down the drain? Or vomit?

Meh, I think it's fine-so long as it's pre-wash.

I do it and as you say the warm water means I couldn’t not! I’ve seen these threads before though and someone will be along soon to day you’re disgusting!

Oh, bingo, in the time it took me to type a response someone’s already compared it to having a dump in the shower 🤨 Love Mumsnet Bingo.

Why can't you just go before you get in the shower??
Sorry but I think it is disgusting!

Well no but shit is hardly the same as wee, it's not even comparable. Surely anyone can see urine and shit aren't the same?

I don't see how it's much different to washing sweat, blood, dead skin down the plug hole.

It's also helpful after giving birth.

Yep it's all about water conservation for me - I wait if I'm going in the shower for a wee. And no, pp, having a poo isn't the same at all so don't try and compare!

Why does it need to be discussed with partners unless they're sharing the shower with you, no one needs to know if you tiddle in the shower.

Nope. Grim behaviour. I wouldn't be impressed if my dh did it.

I can't really see what's actually disgusting about it, it's only wee, it washes away immediately and then you have a wash so no danger (shock horrible) of any traces of urine left on your body!

Bit of a leap from piss to shit isn't it? I mean some people like to be pissed on for sexual kicks but draw the line at shit-just to give you another comparison Hmm

It came up because our toddler did a wee in the shower and dh told him not to.

I said it was fine.

Bloody hell is this for real? Everyone pees in the shower, the bath, the sea and some dirty buggers do it in the pool, having a poo in these places however is NOT acceptable

I remember a thread on this subject a while back. It got very heated indeed Grin

FWIW I'm not saying whether or not I do it myself but I think it's fine.

Doesn’t bother me at all. It’s actually more hygienic than a toilet but most people don’t realise!

Peeing in the shower is eco friendly. Our loo uses 10 litres of water for a flush, that’s 5 days drinking water.

As for it being disgusting, in what way? How? How can your own wee bring washed down the drain be disgusting.

I have no idea why anyone would have a problem with this. It literally washes directly down the plug and along into the same waste pipe as it would from the toilet. It doesn’t end up in the kitchen tap or anything!

I can always tell when someone is a shower pisser. Their shower cubicle and bathroom tends to stink of piss in the same way a urinal does (sorry, but it does.)

The only place any pee should be going is down a toilet.

I definitely wouldn't poo in the shower for very obvious reasons.

Like I say it came up because dh saw toddler do it and was very disapproving.

How could you possibly know that it’s because they pee in the shower rather than because they simply don’t keep their bathroom clean?!

If you position yourself correctly you only get wee on the soles of you feet anyway-my shower cubicle has a shelf & I could avoid even this... if I could be arsed 😁
