After all this recent stuff. Please could we have someone else and make labour electable again. Why is he still there and do we think he still will be for the forseeable?

Yanbu. I had high hopes when he first became leader but total let-down. I have a feeling the Labour Party don't want to deal with Brexit so are twiddling their thumbs while the Tories make a message of it.

Poloshot · 15/08/2018 18:06

Leave him where he is he's going a great job in keeping labour out of power

BlackForestCake · 15/08/2018 18:06

He leads the most successful social democratic party in Europe at the moment. Who do you think would do better?

Childrenofthesun · 15/08/2018 18:06

mess of it

Mrsmadevans · 15/08/2018 18:09

I think you are right Childrenofthesun

marsbarsandtwix · 15/08/2018 18:21

blackforest I think pretty much anyone else would do better. Somebody less controversial for starters.

marsbarsandtwix · 15/08/2018 18:22

Yes children maybe. Do you think others are plotting and have a plan for later? It feels like everyone has just given up at the minute.

Its hilarious all the Corbyn lovers all over my social media are now veryyyyyyy quiet and I love to gloat. Never liked the bloke think he's unfit for the role and he just keep proving and proving it!

Metoodear · 15/08/2018 18:24

Because the Corbynism is a cult That has a choke hold over labour

He has managed a hostile takeover

His folllowrs cry fake news and conspiracy and he only talks to press that will give him good press

Sound like anyone else we no

His followers have no care for what lies he tells
How much his corbynomics are exposed his followers deal in simple situations for very complex issues

Nationalise everything
Eveything should be free for eveyone
Tax the rich over 40k oh shit MPs earn 60so 60 then

Neshoma · 15/08/2018 18:24

I'd like to see Yvette Cooper stand.

TwistedStitch · 15/08/2018 18:27

YANBU he's an utter embarrassment. And his cult of followers are bloody scary. I've voted labour in every single election since I could first vote over 20 years ago but never again whilst he's in charge.

bellinisurge · 15/08/2018 18:27

I agree. Dump him. Bring in Yvette Cooper.

theduchessstill · 15/08/2018 18:27

He is so stubborn and unimpressive. blackforest with the disaster that the Tories are making of brexit and the problems they have within their own party, any remotely effective opposition should be running amok and pissing all over them. Yes they are roughly neck and neck in the polls, and there was one at the weekend that had the Tories 3 points ahead. That is utterly shameful in the current circumstances, yet I fell of there was an election tomorrow and the polls were proved right, he still wouldn't step down but would still be ranting on about having a huge mandate the leave, blah, blah.

Awful man.

Janni01 · 15/08/2018 18:28

Agreed, boot him and get someone competent in.

megletthesecond · 15/08/2018 18:29

Yanbu. I thought he was a knob when he was elected and he's done nothing to prove me wrong.
I like to think there's an alternative universe where Umunna / Burnham / Thornberry/ Jarvis is in charge and actually giving the Tories hell.

WickedGoodDoge · 15/08/2018 18:29

I can’t stand Corbyn but until this week did think he was getting unfairly treated by the press on various issues. However, I’m watching people like MIL who I thought were fairly reasonable people defend Corbyn over the wreath laying issue because they were the graves of only “alleged” terrorists, not proper terrorists. I’m watching this and I’m truly despairing of everything- Corbyn in general, Tory and the Brexit fuck up, scary Trump and half the world that seems to see nothing wrong with any of it.

Labour are in the perfect position to be racing ahead of the Tories right now- why aren’t they dumping Corbyn and taking advantage!?!

Tomselleckhaskindeyes · 15/08/2018 18:38

Yvette cooper stood last time. I think she came third after Andy Burnham. However I think we need to ask why is all this happening? Is nobody at all cynical about the tactics of the right wing press?

Bombardier25966 · 15/08/2018 18:42

He's still in power because the vast majority of the 500,000+ membership still support him. If you don't then join the party and make your voice heard. Labour is about its members, not one man.

@WickedGoodDoge It has now been confirmed that the Munich terrorists are buried in Libya. Corbyn was in Tunis. Don't believe everything you read in the papers. Here is a fully referenced report on the issue:

evolvepolitics.com/there-were-8-munich-terrorists-none-are-buried-at-the-tunis-cemetery-that-jeremy-corbyn-visited/

And for an explanation of what he was doing in Tunis:

Bombardier YY

theduchessstill · 15/08/2018 18:47

That's fine Gncq but what have you got to say about the fact that this man is not troubling the Tories? Or are you so pleased that 'the right wing' of the party have 'lost', you're quite happy that the actual right wing party remain in government?

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 15/08/2018 18:48

Yanbu the calibre of our political leaders is awful. Any decent opposition would have destroyed the current government a long time ago.

Sigh.

Neshoma · 15/08/2018 18:50

megletthesecond

Do you mean Lady Thornberry Nugee

Bombardier25966 · 15/08/2018 18:52

I have a feeling the Labour Party don't want to deal with Brexit so are twiddling their thumbs while the Tories make a message of it.

Brexit is a poisoned chalice. Whoever takes us through it is guaranteed to be out of power for the next decade. Although I think Keir Starmer would do a much better job of negotiations than this shit shower, I don't see any benefit to taking on that task. Let the Tories fall on their own sword.

Dilligaf81 · 15/08/2018 18:56

bombadier great factual post thank you
