So there is a thread about TV characters and it got me thinking. So AIBU to ask what movie really makes you cry?
The Green Mile. The moment when Tom Hanks says "We love you. Can you feel that?"
Sad

PongoPingoPango · 11/08/2018 06:31

The bridges of Maddison country, I'm a wreck at the end of it!

Marley and Me!

PositiveVibez · 11/08/2018 06:37

Well I read the title and came on to write The Green Mile, but you beat me too it.

I absolutely sob my heart out at that film. If I'm flicking through the channels and it's on, I always have to watch it, even though I know I'm going to bawl.

Sierra259 · 11/08/2018 06:38

Definitely The Green Mile. And Arrival with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner Sad

Eliza9917 · 11/08/2018 06:50

Honky-tonk man
It's a years old Clint Eastwood film. He has tb abd is dying but takes his nephew with him on a last tour to Nashville and every time he sang honky-tonk man I bawled my eyes out.

Where the women go, it was a crappy ch5 afternoon film on when I was a student and that made me bawl my eyes out. I still remember what it was called. It was about these beaten and down trodden women in rural America and they started up some women's club in a bar during the day while their husbands were at work and all became friends and each others support network.

The song at the beginning of the original prisoner cell block h used to make me cry too.

Odd, odd films Grin

The fault in our stars, I was full on ugly crying the first time I watched that. DH thought I'd lost the plot Blush

Roussette · 11/08/2018 07:15

Totally agree with two already posted.
Ghost
Bridges of Madison County (that's my worst), it's so beautifully done and so so sad and lovely at the same time. Unrequited love.

I don't mean to laugh at anyone else's choices but ET and Lassie??? It's a good job we're all different!

Brokeback Mountain is a tear jerker, Love Story is excrutiatingly sad, an oldie but goodie. I found 'Philadelphia' really sad too and 'Saving Private Ryan', but I love Tom Hanks and he's in both of those.

Kr250710 · 11/08/2018 07:15

The Impossible ... gets me every single time. Almost the whole film as well.
Marley and me.
Armageddon
Harry Potter and the half blood prince and Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1 and 2

Oh my gosh there are loads but these are the ones that spring to mind.
