... on the assumption that you are! This isn't the thread for negativity! Mine are:

  • knowing what clothes to wear each day
  • sitting out in the evening and talking with DP instead of watching TV/doing admin
  • actually drinking Pimms rather than having a bottle going fusty at the back of the cupboard
  • being able to confidently plan outings/outdoor social events

The fact that we can sit out in the garden until late - normally in this country you have to scuttle indoors as soon as the sun goes down!

Also - the glorious heat!!! I hope this is the shape of things to come.....

SneakyGremlins · 24/07/2018 16:10

Normally I hate it but don't jump on me, I've found one single good thing - the vegetable plants in my bedroom are loving it!

SprogletsMum · 24/07/2018 16:10

Being able to dry washing on the line instead of in the dryer

RunMummyRun68 · 24/07/2018 16:11

my sales figures!!!

BiggerBoat1 · 24/07/2018 16:11

The cat isn't hassling me for food every five minutes. She's flaked out under a bush.

The washing dries in about half an hour.

It is acceptable to eat lollies in the workplace.

BiggerBoat1 · 24/07/2018 16:12

What vegetables are you growing in your bedroom gremlins? I have visions of a row of courgettes next to your bed.

CryHavoc · 24/07/2018 16:13

Sunshine makes everything seem nicer. Like pps, I'm sitting in the garden in the evenings, the house seems bigger because of all the extra light, I've gotten lots of wear out of all the clothes I bought for my holiday last August.
I've been getting up early to walk the dog before it gets to warm, and so I'm getting more done earlier.
Long may it continue.

alltoomuchrightnow · 24/07/2018 16:13

easy dressing.. just being able to pull on a sun dress and flipflops (although using a footfile daily is boring!)
Not feeling guilty about eating quick, cold food every day.. salad, quiche etc... no preparation!

Baxdale · 24/07/2018 16:15

My shower.

The rest is all very draining. I am melting and so grateful I am no longer having to commute on the tube.

MaisyPops · 24/07/2018 16:20

I'm no sun bunny, but I like being able to have all the windows open and the house be fresh, not freezing.
I love not having the heating on.
Salads most nights for tea.
Getting washing turned around on the line.
Being able to go out and not worry about 'what if it turns' and having backup layers in the car.
Ice lollies (because i bloody love the things!)

Bluelady · 24/07/2018 16:23

Having the windows and back door open all day long.
Wearing loose easy clothes and not having to think about it.
People are nicer, happier.
Early mornings are beautiful.
Long warm evenings outside.

It's just lovely.

ThrownMuse · 24/07/2018 16:24

Daily sea swims!

Duskqueen · 24/07/2018 16:33

Getting the paddling pool out with my DD.

Lovelydovey · 24/07/2018 16:36

Drying washing outside
Eating ice lollies
No expectation from DH that the kids and I will have done anything other than melt or play in the paddling pool while he was at work - no housework, cleaning or meticulously planned day trips. Add to that no pestering for sex as I have told him it will not happen till it is less than 20 degrees as I am too hot.

adoggymama · 24/07/2018 16:37

Nothing Grin

CookPassBabtridge · 24/07/2018 16:38

Eashing drying so quickly!

Bowlofbabelfish · 24/07/2018 16:43

My hibiscus plant is in heaven.

That’s the only being in the house that’s in any way pleased with the weather.

arranfan · 24/07/2018 16:43

Being able to take out the kayak on the local water until gone 21:00 and the water and air temperature are still positively balmy and the kit dries quickly.

My vitamin D level is improving because I can guarantee several periods of sun exposure every day (I have chronic, severe vitamin D deficiency so this is fabulous for me) without worrying about overcast days.

Gloopy · 24/07/2018 16:43

All the washing drying quickly on the line.
And the amount of gas I'm not using. 😁

Frusso · 24/07/2018 16:43

Flip flops and 3/4 trousers. Not having to wear a coat, or jumper.

Cheap lighting and heating bills.

I like not being cold.

QueenOfMyWorld · 24/07/2018 16:45

My solar panels earning us 200 per month

Shaboohshoobah1 · 24/07/2018 16:47

Second everyone saying not having to worry about what to wear and being able to plan the weekend knowing it’ll be nice. Glorious early morning runs and rides (cycling over the winter was horrible)

I’m jealous of those of you who live near the sea though - I am slap bang in the middle of the country and it’s a long way to the coast from here. I’d love to live by the sea!

Schroedingerscatagain · 24/07/2018 16:48

My aircon Grin

happychange · 24/07/2018 16:50

Don't have to take my vitamin D supplements Grin

Sallystyle · 24/07/2018 16:51

The feel of sun on my skin
