Hairless foofs

Ginismyfriendx · 06/07/2018 01:02

So can't sleep and watching naked attraction (please do judge me, I deserve it)
Are completely bare foofs a thing now? Having had a nasty experience of an ingrown hair from shaving bikini line (which required anti-biotics) why go through that? Nevermind the faff. Who want's an evening shadow on their lady bits?
All for a bit of pruning, but uprooting?

Although women have been removing pubic hair for years, that will change eventually, it's a fashion thing. I trim and don't have much down there but do think hair is there for a reason. It's like eyebrows and eyelashes which protect our eyes.

Pubic hair is not disgusting, that's a weird sentiment. It's like saying eyebrows are disgusting. Years ago eyebrows were plucked to the thinnest line imaginable, look at them now! Bushy thick things! Pubic hair of some sort will come back eventually.

I don't care what people do, but it does annoy me that it's called gross, it isn't! I'm old, how on earth did I cope in my teens and twenties with a full bush, no one found it gross then, no one trimmed, shaved or got rid of it.

Aridane · 06/07/2018 07:17

Pubic hair removal, has been the standard for CENTURIES ins some middle eastern countries. Nothing to,do,with porn.

(though I guess posters talked no about it being porn driven are talking about the West)

Roussette · 06/07/2018 07:18

Why on earth do you need to wear shorts on holiday if you don't shave everything off? I wear a bikini, I keep everything tidy and trimmed, how pathetic talking about stray spiders

SoddingUnicorns · 06/07/2018 07:19

I am, as usual, with Helena on this. Isn’t it interesting that insults fly both ways, turning women against each other.

For the record I couldn’t give a shit what anyone else does with their pubic hair although I’m happy DP leaves his alone!, because I’m not looking at it so it’s not my business.

And yes, that does include women who don’t trim/shave/wax on a beach or at the swimming pool. Frankly if I can tell whether or not she’s waxed I’m looking too fucking closely!

Do what you want with your pubic hair, but don’t be bloody snide to other women about it.

Sparklingbrook · 06/07/2018 07:21

Until I joined MN I never gave any of this a second thought TBH. The weekly threads make me think about it now much more than is necessary.

Everyone should just do whatever they like, just like everything else in life that is unimportant in the big scheme of things.

frumpety · 06/07/2018 07:22

Has anyone else's pubes started to straighten of their own accord , so not with the help of 'products' ? Is this an age thing or have they just been flattened by years of big pant wearing ?

Coughy · 06/07/2018 07:24

Sex feels nicer but it does look prebuscent girl. I do whatever i fancy personally but yeah a thing for 15 years.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 06/07/2018 07:25

Wow! The list of Things That Are Wrong With Your Body grows longer and longer. In the meantime men get on with their lives feeling that their bodies are perfectly good as they are.

BlueBug45 · 06/07/2018 07:25

I was told they eventually go grey, thin and fall out.

Skyejuly · 06/07/2018 07:26

I prefer my partner giving me oral sex when it's bare but I don't shave on a regular basis. Just when I can be bothered.

SoddingUnicorns · 06/07/2018 07:26

@frumpety I thought it was just me!

BlueBug45 · 06/07/2018 07:27

@AndhowcouldIeverrefuse - it depends on the age of the man. Lots of younger men get waxed especially those who go to the gym a lot to get muscles.

Roussette · 06/07/2018 07:28

Bluebug they do get thinner, yes, but that's not a problem either. Saves trimming up too much!

I've never seen snide posts from women who remove their hair, just defensive ones as they have to justify their decision from nosey, over-invested and frankly, rude women.

Seems like you started the thread for a bit of a bunfight OP. I expect you'll get one but probably just from the non-hair removers who'll just blether on amongst themselves.

Do what you want with your hair - and kindly let the rest of us do the same. I don't want to know your grooming habits or anybody else's.

Roussette · 06/07/2018 07:30

Everyone to their own, yes. However, I do find it sad that young girls feel under pressure to get rid of every pubic hair at a young age. I have adult DDs, luckily they didn't feel like that when they were young.

Discotits · 06/07/2018 07:31

Full Bush here. I trim it back, but I’ve no desire to shave or rip out the hair.

I think within my group of friends we all mostly have our pubes (late 30s/early 40s). I can see why people would prefer it smooth, but I like a bush myself.

Roussette · 06/07/2018 07:31

You are joking! There's enough on here if you read back!

PurpleWithRed · 06/07/2018 07:31

I’m a late convert to waxing, love the feel and sex definitely better for both of us. I can guarantee that at my age it doesn’t look pre-pubescent. Personally I think it makes me look like a very old lady who’s gone bald but dh is polite enough to disagree and say he likes the look. It’s hot wax or nothing.

QueenOfMyWorld · 06/07/2018 07:33

I shave it all off and have done for years as I prefer it and so does dh.If you use a good razor and shaving gel you shouldn't get shaving rash or in growing hairs

pachyderm · 06/07/2018 07:33

I'm not insulting anyone, just pointing out that "choices" don't exist in a vacuum. I find it distressing that it's yet ANOTHER expensive time consuming thing young women feel they have to do to meet conventional beauty norms. That's the issue, not women being bitchy to each other. Why can't we just be niiiiice Hmm

Grandmaswagsbag · 06/07/2018 07:34

Oh ffs. How many times have I seen it branded ‘disgusting’ and been told that people remove their hair for ‘hygiene reasons’ and that women who don’t like shaving have ‘let themselves go’ on MN? On every bloody thread in this subject. It’s not only judgy but it’s factually wrong that pubes are unhygienic.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 06/07/2018 07:35

No, Rousette, look at Buckys post at 06.30. It sums it up. If somebody's reading an insult into somebody else pointing out that hair removal is 'cleaner for THEM' then they're either a bit thick or being a goady fucker.

Stop policing what other women do. Why does that keep needing to be said?

I'm off for my waxing appointment now.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 06/07/2018 07:36

"Women have let themselves go...." - said by NOBODY on this thread, not a hair-removing poster anyway.

Stop fanny-watching. Just stop.

pachyderm · 06/07/2018 07:38

Try looking up some vintage porn on one of the large mainstream sites and see what the overwhelming commentary is from the men watching. "Shave that shit!" "Gross!"

But yeah, the problem is women "policing".
