Hairless foofs

Ginismyfriendx · 06/07/2018 01:02

So can't sleep and watching naked attraction (please do judge me, I deserve it)
Are completely bare foofs a thing now? Having had a nasty experience of an ingrown hair from shaving bikini line (which required anti-biotics) why go through that? Nevermind the faff. Who want's an evening shadow on their lady bits?
All for a bit of pruning, but uprooting?

Each to their own..... does it really matter what someone does with their OWN body.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 06/07/2018 06:00

Women are meant to have hair there. Remove it if you wish, but there’s nothing dirty or gross about keeping it. We do wash, you know.

BillywilliamV · 06/07/2018 06:10

I have lived too long this world, I REALLY dont understand it anymore!

ArtisanPopcorn · 06/07/2018 06:12

But how painful is it to have a Hollywood? I could barely cope with a standard bikini wax the few times I’ve had them!

DietCoke2 · 06/07/2018 06:12

I used to routinely get a full wax but found it uncomfortable and itchy growing back and did get ingrown hairs so I just get busy with my lady shaver now Grin

FurryDice · 06/07/2018 06:16

Pubic hair grows naturally in the pubic area for a reason. Ffs.

FurryDice · 06/07/2018 06:17

And for everyone saying ‘foof’ You sound about 12 years old. Oh, the irony. It’s called a vulva.

speakout · 06/07/2018 06:20

I am the owner of a proud patch.
Never had any complaints.

OH feels blessed just to be given permission to stroll through my lady garden.
Any man who insisted I cut my curls can take a hike.

speakout · 06/07/2018 06:21

FurryDice - totally with you on this.

EdmundCleverClogs · 06/07/2018 06:22

I'm uneasy that it makes us look like pre-pubescent girls

I understand some women don’t like it/don’t agree with shaving. However, the ‘it makes you look prepubescent’ line that always gets trotted out on these threads is ridiculous, and ironically pretty childish. Are men who shave their faces considered ‘prepubescent’ as well? I mean it’s ‘natural’ for them to let it grow in, but most shave every day.

Regardless of personal perspective on the matter, the ‘it makes you look like a child/any man who wants that is creepy’ line really needs to find a more intelligent argument.

VanGoghsLeftEar · 06/07/2018 06:24

I just keep it trimmed and immac the visible bits. I used to take it all off but I kept getting thrush. Now my fanny is very healthy thank you.

Donthugmeimscared · 06/07/2018 06:26

I used to shave mine for 10 years as my ex liked it and thought pubic hair was gross (i was his first girlfriend at 24 so the first woman he had seen naked that wasnt on a screen or in a mag) but constantly got infections. Now I'm single I'm enjoying the freedom to not give a shit I have a full untamed bush and haven't had a single infection since it grew. I shower everyday so I'm definetly not dirty. I have to go swimming for my work so bought one of those short type costumes so no worries there. I will shave my bikini line when I go away on holiday but other than that I'm staying as nature intended. I still shave my legs and armpits as I feel weird not too.

BuckysRoboticArm · 06/07/2018 06:30

I do both. I absolutely love having pubic hair, but sometimes I just enjoy being hairless too. There’s nothing wrong with either. We have hairy legs and underarms for a reason too, but most people shave these areas.

Always interesting how vehemently people fight their corners. Especially the anti-hairless camp - shaming you by pointing out you look like a pre-pubescent child, or the threat of infection and herpes, using it as an opportunity to voice their disgust of porn which is the reason for everything wrong in the world etc etc It’s laughable how offended some people get. We don’t think other people are dirty or “gross” for keeping their pubes ffs 😂 we just enjoy how it makes us feel. Why can’t you distinguish between the two? Instead of taking it personally.

It’s just pubic hair, some people shave it and some don’t. Who cares. Calm down.

Pictureiswonky · 06/07/2018 06:36

I started removing it when I was 16 and I'm about 50 now, so it's always been a thing for me. In fact about 5 years ago I had laser removal and it's the best thing ever for me. I like it that way.

Theducksarenotmyfriends · 06/07/2018 06:38

Thought of the day -
Does the foof reflect the home?

Ooh perhaps! I'd like to think to the untrained eye both my home and foof look like an unwieldy mess. To me and dp though they're glorious, wild, untamed landscapes for adventuring in. Clean tho, of course, with eco friendly products Wink

pachyderm · 06/07/2018 06:43

Gross? You hear that a lot. If pubic hair removal has nothing to do with porn then why was it so rare before 2000 or so? But oh no, it's just my choice, plucked out of the air, no context Hmm

Germaine Greer was great on the subject in The Female Eunuch (1970), I wish young women would read it and realise how much of it rings true today.

Donthugmeimscared · 06/07/2018 06:51

Gross was the word my ex used quite alot. I think my going back to nature is an act of rebellion since he left. I have no issues with what anyone else does but I just rather it this way. He had definetly got his ideas from porn though.

colditz · 06/07/2018 06:57

I started shaving mine at 14, I was still a nvirgin and had never seen porn. I shaved it off because it was thick, hot, and I had clotty periods which made hygiene difficult to manage with a curly bush of hair in the way.

Hey you know what else is common in porn? Long hair. If you or your daughters have long hair, you’re pornified

Thehop · 06/07/2018 06:57

I’m in the hairy camp.

It looks like one of the Jackson 5 live in my pants.

Grandmaswagsbag · 06/07/2018 06:58

There will be a fight here. Of course it’s a thing, has been since the 90s or maybe before? At once time I guess our vaginal pubes were sacred (seeing as no one sees them really apart from your sexual partners) but then the beauty industry realised it was an untapped market and heho yet another part of the female body in its natural state became a disgusting problem that needs a fix. I respect anyone’s choice to remove hair (even if I don’t agree with it) but honestly the fact that other women have been so conditioned o believe pubes are disgusting. makes me exasperated. I’ve noticed a trend in younger women that I know (who are mostly very slightly alternative uni student types) to now leave all body hair which is quite refreshing. I feel this trend might swing the other way soon. Pubes have a function in protecting from infection and they actually increase sexual feeling, not hinder it!

Gwenhwyfar · 06/07/2018 07:13

"Very rarely do you actually see women who shave down there being rude about those who don’t; "

No, you see it quite often, Okasaan has a go just a few posts after you.

charis · 06/07/2018 07:14

Jackson 5 lololol 😂 brilliant. I am nodding my head at every one of Helena's posts.

Seems to me every few years we've got more and more to spend money on. Now it's fillers, botox... I was trying to point this out to my teenage DD once. Are the boys spending all this money before every party? They are not.

Gwenhwyfar · 06/07/2018 07:16

"If you dont remove it what do you do when you go on holiday? Take the spiders along for the ride?"

Not everyone goes for a beach holiday. If I did go, I'd either wear shorts (I have a legsuit for the pool) or just shave the edges.

DietCoke2 · 06/07/2018 07:16

Vogue reckons the Bush is back... www.vogue.com/article/bikini-wax-full-bush-pubic-hair-how-to-be-single-brazilian

But sums it up nicely saying it's individual choice and preference.
