Hairless foofs

Ginismyfriendx · 06/07/2018 01:02

So can't sleep and watching naked attraction (please do judge me, I deserve it)
Are completely bare foofs a thing now? Having had a nasty experience of an ingrown hair from shaving bikini line (which required anti-biotics) why go through that? Nevermind the faff. Who want's an evening shadow on their lady bits?
All for a bit of pruning, but uprooting?

I'm with @Roussette

QueenoftheNights · 10/07/2018 08:20

I do wonder how I managed to have sex in my teens and 20's given how gross it appears to some on here! I did manage lots and NO ONE removed pubic hair, absolutely no one.

Precisely. I'm another 60 yr old and had a very active time before I got married at 30. No one removed pubic hair. A quick bikini line trim (usually in the summer for swimming / beach hols) was as far as anyone went.

Recently, a male friend was discussing Naked Attraction and said how vile he thought shaved pubes looked. This is a man who has had sex with countless women, and he knows exactly what he prefers and also considers it weird women want to be bare.

Grandmaswagsbag · 10/07/2018 08:21

I was the first shaved partner my dp has had as his ex wife had a full bush (to which he never had a problem with.) When I asked if he'd prefer it if I had one he said "oh no I really like it like that now" and wouldn't want me to grow a full bush (not that I would anyway because I wouldn't like it.)

Bit weird that you’ve discussed his ex wife’s pubes, but also he couldn’t really say ‘actually I don’t like your pubes like that as much and prefer a full bush’ knowing that you know that’s what his ex had. A decent person will love their partners body whatever their grooming habits and should realise that if their partner is happy with hair/no hair they really have no say on the matter.

QueenoftheNights · 10/07/2018 08:24

and just for extra info...if any of you young 'uns follow menopause threads or forums you will see how most women are horrified / upset at the loss or thinning of their pubes. (So we're talking women aged 50+)

Many women embrace their pubic hair (and indeed their partners like it)and feel it 's a demise of their sexuality when it disappears.

Grandmaswagsbag · 10/07/2018 08:26

@sickOfSitting so believing a man when he says ‘I prefer shaved’ isn’t naive because....? I’m not sure what you're really trying to say

Roussette · 10/07/2018 08:28

Exactly Queen! I have a couple of divorced gf's who are dating after divorce and the men they date are quite happy with pubic hair.

As I said before, it's a fashion thing that has been fuelled by the porn industry and will continue for the foreseeable future because there's money to be made from it as far as waxing, lasering etc. It's just something I don't feel the need to buy into because I'm happy as I am.

Roussette · 10/07/2018 08:31

I'm opposite to that Queen, I suppose it's because I'm way past the menopause, but I never worried about the thinning of pubes bit. More worried about my eyebrows, chin hair and moustache! Before anyone says... 'aaaah so you get rid of THAT hair*. Yes I do. Because it's visible!

800 posts about “hairless foofs” Grin

My husband watches porn and admits it, so I went on some sites to see what he may be looking at. The women are not all hairless. They are predominantly, but to be honest, most women in porn are far from having the stereotypical “perfect” body and glamorous is the last word I’d apply to the majority of them. Most women in porn are like any woman on the streets and the men are certainly nothing to write home about either.

I’m lasered but, in my mind, it certainly wasn’t an attempt to achieve some idea if porn star perfection Confused. Having said this, DH did once say (years ago) he prefers women hairless from the eyebrows down, so I guess that has stayed with me and probably influenced my decisions on some level. Also, I remember being on a beach recliner once and a woman was standing talking to us with about an inch of pubes visible below her swimsuit. DH said nothing but I could tell he was quite shocked and didn’t know where to look and I admit I was a bit too because you realise it’s just not something you’re used to seeing. I’m ashamed to say it, but I’m being honest that these comments / situations do stay with you and become internalised as “shocking” to a greater or lesser degree.

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 08:46

To be clear I'm not "bald." I tried it once but I didn't like it, although the (older) man I was with actually sulked when I grew some back in a strip Hmm He was a twat anyway.

I'm not saying all men prefer a shaved fanjo. I'm saying men who, when asked by their partners, if they like shaved pubes is never going to be honest! The test as I said before is if you shaved it into a strip for a few weeks. It would be amazing how many men would all of a sudden be "used to it now" if you said you were growing it back! Grin

When I was working with a website designer who also fixed computers/laptops he said he hears the wives say "oh don't worry we don't watch porn so you won't come across anything dodgy.." and then he goes into the laptop to fix it and he thinks "no but your husband does.." Confused

My example wasn't the best but I wouldn't take a man saying he prefers a bush too seriously if you have one because he's never going to say otherwise..

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 08:49

Rou it doesn't cost me anything. I have never paid to have anything waxed etc, it's just me and my razor at home so the industry aren't making money out of me Grin

LemonJ · 10/07/2018 08:51

Sickofsitting I find you quite offensive, I'm not naive. I have been with my DH for 20 years, he doesn't watch porn and disagrees with it more than I do. Why do you think that men must be lieing if they say this?

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 08:53

Sorry missed another post rou! No I'm not saying all men prefer a shaved fanjo! That's not my view at all! I'm challenging the view that the men who say to their wives that they don't like a shaved fanjo (when asked) are probably not going to say otherwise..

Some me do prefer a bush! But the ones who do lie and say they prefer a bush are usually the ones who also "don't watch porn" either.. Grin

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 08:56

Experience I suppose. I have found the men who protest the most about porn are the worst for it. My dp has watched porn lots of times over the years. I respect his honesty even though it's not my cup of tea and I don't think anything less of him because he has.

Roussette · 10/07/2018 08:56

O course sitting, you can trim yourself up at home. But you can't deny it's a huge industry of brazilians, wazing, whatever. Thee is no denying that.

I'm just not sue sitting how you know that all these men would err on the side of wanting it all shaved off if presented with say trimmed hair or none. You can't make such a sweeping statement, you don't know

Roussette · 10/07/2018 08:57

*sure

BertrandRussell · 10/07/2018 08:57

SickofSitting-you have an incredibly low opinion of men!

Roussette · 10/07/2018 08:59

Some men do prefer a bush! But the ones who do lie and say they prefer a bush are usually the ones who also "don't watch porn" either

You are contradicting yourself here! You're saying that all men who say they prefer a bush are lying. Yet in your previous para you say 'No I'm not saying all men prefer a shaved fanjo!'

Roussette · 10/07/2018 09:00

I'd agree Bertrand. And I'm not sure how sitting knows what every man is thinking!!

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 09:00

It is a big money business isn't it! But no different to leg waxing/hair colouring/nail salons. The beauty industry is a big earner and the majority of us are all guilty of feeding it in one form or another.

None of us can be sure, you are right, we can only speak from our own experiences/knowledge of certain things.

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 09:02

No I said "some men do prefer a bush ." That's not me saying "all" men do is it?

I said "the men that do lie.." that's not saying "all" men either.

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 09:08

My opinion is; Some men do prefer a full bush. Some men lie about preferring a shaved fanjo when asked by their partner. Some men lie about watching porn. Some men openly admit to watching/having watched porn. Some women shave because they like it. Some do it to please a man. Some men would lap it up if their partner decided to shave. Some men would hate and and ask her to grow it back.

It's a preference!

But those who do decide to shave aren't all just following a trend because they saw it in porn and think men will like them more so they pay £££s to the industry to look like a porn star!

SickOfSitting · 10/07/2018 09:09

lie about not* preferring a shaved fanjo.

Roussette · 10/07/2018 09:09

I stand corrected. However, the common vein of what you've said is that men prefer a naked fanjo and if they don't they're lying and watching porn in secret whilst denying it Grin

LemonJ · 10/07/2018 09:12

It sounds like you just think men lie about everything, that's a bit sad

LemonJ · 10/07/2018 09:13

Oh but not to you of course
