Hairless foofs

So can't sleep and watching naked attraction (please do judge me, I deserve it)
Are completely bare foofs a thing now? Having had a nasty experience of an ingrown hair from shaving bikini line (which required anti-biotics) why go through that? Nevermind the faff. Who want's an evening shadow on their lady bits?
All for a bit of pruning, but uprooting?

Sure, women who shave still have breasts but believe me, men do associate hairlessness with pre-pubescent girls. and many do not like it or the prickly skin or the 5 o clock shadow.

But I was very very glad to have been hairless during my fertility treatment, as the enormous quantities of lube used for transvaginal ultrasound (aka dildocam) were significantly easier to clean up with a quick wipe than walking around trying to clean out gobs of sticky blue lube from my pubes

I am hairy and have had dozens of those scans. The tiny amount of lube is inside, not all over your pubic hair.. Dunno what the heck they were doing to yours

Well they seem confused. My OH (who has no say in the matter either way) doesn’t associate my genitalia with that of a child. How odd.

It isn’t about breasts. An adult woman’s genitalia still looks adult if she’s hair free.

I’ve done IVF and yep, oceans of lube here too for dildocam dates. They provide wet wipes and tissues though so I never thought ‘oh I need to shave for my lining scan’.

I feel deprived I never got a wetwipe! Did get handed a mahoosive box of tissues every time though. Just to be clear, I never removed any hair just for IVF! That ship sailed long ago - years of waxing in my 20s meant it stopped growing back, so I couldn't grow a luxuriant bush even if I wanted to (which happily, I don't).

God, don't know what they were using on you! Some kind of weird lube fest! All I got is small squirt of KY jelly, which doesn't leave much behind at all. Quick wee afterwards and a wipe down and all gone.

Trim it when I cba, shave sides. I would never go hairless although dd prob would although she doesn’t like the itch!

I shaved my bikini line yesterday as had run out of veet. This morning the skin is sore and red so I'd definitely not be doing that to my delicate areas.

You can have hair down there and not be sweaty you know. To have it trimmed and neat does not mean it's a big hairy sweaty bush. I find hairless unattractive so there you go! It just looks odd to me and very unnatural, I've never done it and never will. Even when I trim or shave the sides, (which I do because I wear high cut bikinis) I find the feeling a bit odd and more sweaty to be honest.

I don't give a crap what's fashionable - I shave mine completely off because I prefer it that way. It feels cleaner to me and the sex is more intense. I'm not young! I don't care what the porn industry is up to.

@Zadig what did you think of lasering? Is it really worth it / that good? I've got a patch test next week so really need to decide!

Once you’re hairless down there, you just don’t think about it again. I actually can’t remember what it was like to have pubes. Its comparable to women who shave or wax their legs (ie most women) - how would they feel if their legs were suddenly full-on hairy again? Probably they would feel uncomfortable. It’s all relative.

When I had mine lasered, I definitely wasn’t condciously thinking I wanted to look like a porn actress . Porn actresses are either very fake looking (not appealing) or otherwise extremely ordinary indeed. However, most men do watch porn whether they admit it or not. Most women are hairless in porn and this has obviously affected societal expectations. My DH never directly told me to get it lasered, but I’m not going to deny his preferences didn’t affect my decision because that would be disingenuous.

I know my DH does watch porn - I don’t really want to know the details or extent to be honest - but I’m sure this has affected his preferences which has in turn affected me. That’s just me being honest because I’m sure if women in porn and /or the general media were hairy, I would not have spent thousands on lasering.

It’s the same as anything else though really - make up, fashion, colouring hair.

Minnie - it works for sure, especially if you’re dark haired. They say not to do it if you have a tan, but technology has improved a lot since I had it. It’s not cheap, but you save on the salon and /or razors forever afterwards!

Sex when there’s skin on skin contact in the pubic region feels fantastic, and the suggestion that either of us look like a pre-pubescent boy or girl is laughable.

Men don't care either way but on balance the men I know (friends and former boyfriends) say they prefer women with hair
For me it's the complete opposite, every man I have ever had sex with have preferred no pubes.

It was also a way of desexualising women in a male dominated profession when they were giving birth and birth was seen as a medical procedure, controlled by male drs.

@bananafish81 I now feel spoiled by the wet wipes! (Recommend Jessops in Sheffield if you want more than tissues - everyone we saw was brilliant as well)

How do the shavers in here manage? I have a Brazilian wax (landing strip) but sonetimes shave in between and always end up bristly and with ingrown hairs.

My partner’s preference is the most important factor in my decision to get a full manscape. Are you telling me that’s not ok for me to base my decision on her opinions either?
