Hairless foofs

Ginismyfriendx · 06/07/2018 01:02

So can't sleep and watching naked attraction (please do judge me, I deserve it)
Are completely bare foofs a thing now? Having had a nasty experience of an ingrown hair from shaving bikini line (which required anti-biotics) why go through that? Nevermind the faff. Who want's an evening shadow on their lady bits?
All for a bit of pruning, but uprooting?

And oh my god, seriously- fucking ‘foof’?

Fucking hell.

chumbawumbawumba · 08/07/2018 06:45

"I'm uneasy that it makes us look like pre-pubescent girls"

There's always someone.

They usually fail to answer why they don't feel uneasy at men shaving their faces to look like pre-pubescent boys.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 08/07/2018 06:48

@FurryDice

The topic of the thread is the aesthetics though... protection isn’t mentioned as it’s a separate thing.

There’s lots of things not mentioned... because they’re not relevant to this topic.

FurryDice · 08/07/2018 07:04

Not relevant? Just because they’re not mentioned it doesn’t make them irrelevant.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 08/07/2018 07:07

But it’s not a thread about protection... it’s not even a thread about sex.

It’s purely about ‘how do you prefer your pubic hair?’

I find it odd that because no one has made the leap into the protection tangent, you’ve assumed it’s because no one cares.

JacquesHammer · 08/07/2018 07:08

I wouldn't want to be with a man (or woman) who insisted on me being genitally hairless

Indeed. But then I wouldn’t want to be with a partner generally who tried to include my bodily autonomy in any way!

JacquesHammer · 08/07/2018 07:09

*influence not include

FurryDice · 08/07/2018 07:09

You find it ‘odd’ do you? The refrain of those who wish to gaslight anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

FurryDice · 08/07/2018 07:11

I don’t actually care what anyone does with their pubes but just because a thread starter hasn’t stated explicitly what is and is not to be discussed, it doesn’t mean other issues pertaining to the subject are irrelevant.

MarrymeTomHardy · 08/07/2018 07:12

Hmm - strangely I like the word foof! I have equally been hollywood/trimmed/jungle over the last 15 years...would never dare to expose myself at a salon despite being a mum; OH has a beard so looks like a grown-up - I think a trim by both man & woman is nicest & politest...

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 08/07/2018 07:14

Sometimes a thread will go into other subjects yes... but your assumption that no one has because they don’t care is odd, yes.

No one has mentioned the age of consent on here either, doesn’t mean people don’t care or have an opinion, the thread just hasn’t gone in that direction.

FurryDice · 08/07/2018 07:15

‘Odd’. Yes if you say so.

IfyouseeRitaMoreno · 08/07/2018 07:16

@gillybeanz who cares if your DH has influenced your DD? He has simply made her feel comfortable about being herself. That’s a good influence. I think it’s great you can discuss at that age. It’s going to get discussed by kids at school at that age anyway and shrouding this stuff in a taboo is silly.

chumbawumbawumba · 08/07/2018 07:20

I wouldn't want to be with a man (or woman) who insisted on me being genitally hairless

Or dye my hair or wear certain clothes or only have certain friends ...

Insisting is not ok. Having a preference is fine. In fact, I like people to have opinions.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 08/07/2018 07:20

@FurryDice 😂

QueenoftheNights · 08/07/2018 07:23

I'm another one who think the sooner this fashion dies, the better.
It's not hygienic as some women think ( and take a holier than thou attitude as if they are cleaner.)

It IS a fashion. When my mum gave birth to me, shaving was mandatory and women hated it, talked about it in hushed tones, and considered it an assault on their bodies. It was done supposedly to make them cleaner and easier to stitch but this was later shown to be incorrect and as PPs have said, being hairless exposes you to more bacteria. All gynaes and dermatolgoists disapprove of it for these reasons.
It was also a way of desexualising women in a male dominated profession when they were giving birth and birth was seen as a medical procedure, controlled by male drs.

I never knew any women who got rid of her pubic hair when I was a teen or an adult. There are always a few posters who come along here and say they are 60+ and have always done it but they are the minority.

Men don't care either way but on balance the men I know (friends and former boyfriends) say they prefer women with hair and indeed they have said they don't want a woman to look pre pubescent down there. This myth of getting it in your teeth- FGS are you shedding it at the rate of knots?!!!

FurryDice · 08/07/2018 07:26

A crying laughing emoji. Obviously debating with the cream of the crop, here. Ffs

IfyouseeRitaMoreno · 08/07/2018 07:26

They usually fail to answer why they don't feel uneasy at men shaving their faces to look like pre-pubescent boys.

Firstly the connection with porn which undoubtedly prefers the younger the better. I mean Barely Legal is a genre FFS.

But also for men it goes in the opposite direction. For teenage boys the more facial hair = the more manly. Imagine teenage girls feeling proud of their enormous bushes because it means they’re growing into women! Just doesn’t happen.

Plus men actually have real choice whether to shave or not because beards are a hugely popular fashion choice.

summertimehere · 08/07/2018 07:33

I hate all this nonsense suggesting women who wax are victims of men and society.

I prefer no hair I like how it looks and feels why anyone would want a big hairy sweaty bush is beyond me but each to their own

JacquesHammer · 08/07/2018 07:38

indeed they have said they don't want a woman to look pre pubescent down there

Have many of them seen women? I have no hair. I don’t look pre-pubescent anywhere Hmm

December2018 · 08/07/2018 07:39

"Fanny hair wars" at 7 in the morning.... fucking brilliant 😂😂😂
(That's when I woke up I know it's not the time right now)

BertrandRussell · 08/07/2018 07:39

"why anyone would want a big hairy sweaty bush is beyond me but each to their own"

Grin No judgement there at all!

QueenoftheNights · 08/07/2018 07:40

I prefer no hair I like how it looks and feels why anyone would want a big hairy sweaty bush is beyond me but each to their own

LOL. Skin sweats regardless of hair or not AND the hair acts to trap sweat so it doesn't run down your legs! And not every one has a BIG hairy bush- some are quite modest and neat.

But at what point did you start thinking that? Why do you hate what is a natural part of being an adult woman?
I wonder if no one got rid of the hair, you'd feel the same? I think you don't realise how you were influenced by fashion. I expect you are in your 20s or 30s and think this is how you ought to be.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 08/07/2018 07:40

A crying laughing emoji. Obviously debating with the cream of the crop, here. Ffs

A response to your ‘if you say so.’

I thought I was speaking your language?

bananafish81 · 08/07/2018 07:42

All gynaes and dermatolgoists disapprove of it for these reasons.

I don't doubt that's true. But I was very very glad to have been hairless during my fertility treatment, as the enormous quantities of lube used for transvaginal ultrasound (aka dildocam) were significantly easier to clean up with a quick wipe than walking around trying to clean out gobs of sticky blue lube from my pubes. Again, I'm NOT SAYING IT IS CLEANER. I am NOT SAYING IT IS MORE HYGIENIC. I am NOT SAYING IT IS UNHYGIENIC to have pubes. I am simply saying that my own personal experience was that I personally prefer the feel of being bare.
