Well, it is now 11:14 and I have very rudely not updated you all!!

It's quite fun I must say.

So, by some twist of fate 'someone' let the air out of one of DH's tires last night. Was full and plump last night, this morning it looked like it had melted. Funny coincidence.
However DH had parked up just behind me, any further back and he would have been encroaching on our other neighbours drive.
So 10:05 rolls around and there is a knock on the door- just the menfolk this time, asking me to shift my car.

Well unfortunatley I am not able to due to the flat tire DH has and I am now blocked in too. Darn. I explain to the menfolk what's happened and instantly I can tell by their faces it was them (or one of the others) who let the tire down. I've explained that someone is coming out to replace the tire later than day and slipped in the conversation that we have motion sensor dash cams in both cars so will of course be turned over the footage to the police.

I'll be honest with you, I could have gotten my car out at this point, but it would have been a lot of shimmying back and forth and I actually couldnt really be bothered with all that.

One of the men tells me that this has gotten well out of hand and if he offers to sort the tire out now, can we please shift and he assures me that they will never park on our property again.

I said absolutely (I don't want to appear unreasonable!), However I must insist on an apology from the driver who felt the need to park on my drive way and the driver who blocked them in.

You'll be pleased to know that have now received apologies from two very sheepish looking women (along with a lengthy explanation as to why they parked there) and DH has a lovely new bouncy tire.

Before leaving one of the menfolk asking if we could please delete the footage from the dash cam. He thinks the culprit was just having a bad day and made a bad decision. Bless.

I'm half an hour late for everything after reading all the way through these threads but boy was that worth it. OP you and your DH are my parking heroes.

What an earth were they thinking letting the tyres down on your DH's car? Did they not realise that would just block them in even more??!

Lweji · 16/06/2018 11:36

They thought a little revenge act would help when their cars are still blocked?

Are they, like, very dim?

Lymphy · 16/06/2018 11:37

Asking to delete the footage! That would infuriate me! Oh I'm fuming!

PuppetOnAString · 16/06/2018 11:37

Wow! I don’t know what else to say. Well done you and DH.

Mayra1367 · 16/06/2018 11:37

Don’t delete the footage , keep it as insurance against one of them making any more bad decisions

siwel123 · 16/06/2018 11:37

Lovely Grin.

Jakethekid · 16/06/2018 11:38

What a bunch of morons. Please pass the dash cam footage onto the school along with your pictures. Just because you live near a school, you shouldn't have to put up with it.

I wonder where these idiots will now park their car everyday. I'd be speaking to your neighbours to give them a friendly warning about them.

endofthelinefinally · 16/06/2018 11:38

Gosh they dont have many brain cells do they?
How did they think letting down the tyre was going to help?
I too am curious as to the compelling and unavoidable reasons the women had for parking on and across your drive.

CristalTipps · 16/06/2018 11:38

NO! They let down the tyre of a car they needed to move?! You're clearly not dealing with the local Mensa group...

Paleshelter · 16/06/2018 11:39

Brilliant ending OP, you heve handled it so well! However I would keep the dashcam footage in case of any future events. Hopefully the twats will have learned their lesson but you never can tell!

3boysandabump · 16/06/2018 11:39

I wouldn't delete the footage from the dash cam.

Talkingfrog · 16/06/2018 11:40

Great update. They didn't think it through when they let his tyre down! Now, whose
drive do you think they will they park on next?

PuppyMonkey · 16/06/2018 11:40

I think you should post the footage here OP.Grin

And then on Spotted etc

Starburst8 · 16/06/2018 11:41

Just brilliant! I can't believe the CFs let down your DH tire. Obviously didn't think that one through. Hmm

Great update OP Grin

How was letting the tyre down meant to help them move Confused

TryingToForgeAnewLife · 16/06/2018 11:41

Why let down the tire on the car that you need moving??? Are they a bit dense?

JohnnyKarate · 16/06/2018 11:41

Please give the dash cam footage to the school!

endofthelinefinally · 16/06/2018 11:41

Absolutely store the dashcam footage. Do it asap. My dashcam automatically deletes footage so you have to save it on the laptop promptly.

Spanglyprincess1 · 16/06/2018 11:42

Pmsl god they are awful. Didnt anyone teach them as kids to say sorry if they did bad things?
What was the reason for parking on your drive? Bet it was rubbish!
Well done OP for being firm and teaching them a lesson. Their very lucky your nice, others would have done much worse if they damaged their car like that!

paradyning · 16/06/2018 11:42

Fantastico!

SharronNeedles · 16/06/2018 11:42

*tyre!! Oh very sorry for my spelling!! My head is a little wiggly from the wine last night 😉

DarkYearForMySoul · 16/06/2018 11:42

SharronNeedles I bow down to your backbone and standing up for yourselves. Would have loved to have seen their faces when they realised they’d blocked themselves in by letting the tyre down 🤣

Are you related to FeistyOldBat by any chance? She’s on another thread and is my new hero in how she dealt with CF neighbour and parking

Sayhellotothesun · 16/06/2018 11:42

Don't delete the footage!

KitKat1985 · 16/06/2018 11:43

Amazing update OP. Truly amazing.

Please don't delete the dashcam footage though. And instead post it on YouTube for us all to watch
