[MNHQ link to first thread here- My first parking thread ]*

Well, it is now 11:14 and I have very rudely not updated you all!!

It's quite fun I must say.

So, by some twist of fate 'someone' let the air out of one of DH's tires last night. Was full and plump last night, this morning it looked like it had melted. Funny coincidence.
However DH had parked up just behind me, any further back and he would have been encroaching on our other neighbours drive.
So 10:05 rolls around and there is a knock on the door- just the menfolk this time, asking me to shift my car.

Well unfortunatley I am not able to due to the flat tire DH has and I am now blocked in too. Darn. I explain to the menfolk what's happened and instantly I can tell by their faces it was them (or one of the others) who let the tire down. I've explained that someone is coming out to replace the tire later than day and slipped in the conversation that we have motion sensor dash cams in both cars so will of course be turned over the footage to the police.

I'll be honest with you, I could have gotten my car out at this point, but it would have been a lot of shimmying back and forth and I actually couldnt really be bothered with all that.

One of the men tells me that this has gotten well out of hand and if he offers to sort the tire out now, can we please shift and he assures me that they will never park on our property again.

I said absolutely (I don't want to appear unreasonable!), However I must insist on an apology from the driver who felt the need to park on my drive way and the driver who blocked them in.

You'll be pleased to know that have now received apologies from two very sheepish looking women (along with a lengthy explanation as to why they parked there) and DH has a lovely new bouncy tire.

Before leaving one of the menfolk asking if we could please delete the footage from the dash cam. He thinks the culprit was just having a bad day and made a bad decision. Bless.

This is superb OP.

What idiots they are for letting your DH's tyre down, they didn't really think that one through did they? These specimens must come from the shallow end of the gene pool.

Glad to hear you got your apologies! Smile

The film idea is genious OP!

Fucking Bastards letting your DH's tyre down, who exactly do they think they are!!

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in they're homes when they talked to they're wifes about the fact that it's all been filmed,I bet there wasn't much harmony in they're household that night! Grin

Please pass on the footage to the Police and the School,I know you and your DH were able to stand your ground SharronNeedles but just imagine if they try it on again but this time with an older neighbour that is living alone.

On another active parking thread someone has said they reported having their tyres let down but the Police said they couldn’t do anything as nothing had been stolen or damaged.

You need to go to the school and report this to them, they must take action and make sure people park correctly and they also ought to advise pcso to come and patrol for a few weeks too.

Brilliant! They scuppered their own release by vandalising your car! Idiots. Between the notes through the doors, street shouting and tyre deflation they really aren’t the brains of Britain are they?

Oh and definitely report to the school! They should know they bully boy tactics some of their parents are employing to intimidate residents.

We're having our front garden put down to parking soon, as parking round here is a nightmare. We live in a cul de sac and have lovely neighbours all round so I'm not expecting parking CF's but I live in hope!

I had a neighbour parking on my drive whilst I was out including his employee!!!
Since we set up CCTV they dont park there any more.
If they have used your driveway all this time it has caused wear and tear. what if they had an oil leak? slipped over on ice?

Report
Paleshelter · 16/06/2018 13:48

Also, did the CFs blow up the flat tyres? Hope you will not be out of pocket!
