Before you all get excited: no party yet (I was trying to keep when it was vague so more anonymous but i give up) . I have had a message from softzilla.
'So are we calm enough to sort this oot for tomorrow? 'Hmm

OP posts:
Hortonlovesahoo · 11/04/2018 20:30

I can't wait to see what happens at the party.

I'd be tempted to not reply at all as she's just going to use it for fuel.

HolyMountain · 11/04/2018 20:31

Hooefully you’ll ignore her and not respond at all before the party.

How will you deal with her when you’re face to face?

HolyMountain · 11/04/2018 20:31

*Hopefully

YearOfYouRemember · 11/04/2018 20:34

I feel a bit sorry for her that no one has ever taught her social norms.

Cagliostro · 11/04/2018 20:35

Ooh I didn’t realise this was still going! I’d only read the OP of the other thread and it was so clearly YANBU that I didn’t bother adding to the far more eloquent responses :o

KitKat1985 · 11/04/2018 20:35

What a nutter (her not you OP).

MammaTJ · 11/04/2018 20:36

I would reply 'I have never been anything other than calm. I can't speak for you though!'.

Shmithecat · 11/04/2018 20:37

She sounds like she's a criminal conviction away from a sociopath. Bonkers. I'd love to come to this party.

MrsMozart · 11/04/2018 20:38

There's nowt so queer as folk for sure!

DairyisClosed · 11/04/2018 20:38

I can't believe this is still going. I couldn't resist texting back 'I'm not the problem. Are you calm enough to start acting like am adult again for tomorrow or are you still throwing a strop? This really isn't fair on party mum. As far as I am concerned it' a all forgotten bit you keep bringing it up. '

SD1978 · 11/04/2018 20:39

I hope you enjoy the party. Don’t let her spoil it for you. Anyone who needs to know the facts, already do. Have a great time and enjoy your meal afterwards x

ShamelesslyPlacemarking · 11/04/2018 20:40

As my name says...

honeysucklejasmine · 11/04/2018 20:41

When were you not calm? Batshit.

DoctorWhatTheFuck · 11/04/2018 20:43

We want you to livestream the party to us by video link so we can see Softzilla’s shenanigans in living colour.

Applejack70455 · 11/04/2018 20:45

This is why I don't attempt to make friends with people in child related scenarios. A high proportion seem to be completely bonkers. God help me when dd starts school...

C0untDucku1a · 11/04/2018 20:47

Oh i forgot about this woman!

GabsAlot · 11/04/2018 20:48

crackheads off again is she

this story fits well in the ridiculous parenting thread-i wonder if she also think her child does no wrong

jay55 · 11/04/2018 20:49

I think I'd reply "Who dis?" or have blocked her ages ago.

GreenTulips · 11/04/2018 20:50

Best smile!

Maybe text back “Glad to hear you are feeling so much calmer. We were all worried you were unwell or something. Hope you enjoy the party.” Then avoid her like the plague.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 11/04/2018 20:54

Are party mum and friend 1 following these threads? If not, then I would let them know about her message. See if you can be standing within earshot of one or other of them for the whole party so that she can't claim that you've been saying stuff that you haven't.

Strigiformes · 11/04/2018 20:55

I'd just block her number and avoid her at the party. It seems that the cheese has fallen off her cracker.

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 11/04/2018 20:55

I'd be tempted to reply "really looking forward to it" ...leave her wondering what you mean by it. Probably best to ignore though!

Did she phone or text again after her message saying she'd phone?

notapizzaeater · 11/04/2018 20:55

Are you calm ?. Ffs .... she's mad !
