Loads of shops, bars and restaurants are now allowing dogs in them.
I'm very allergic and one of my dc is too.
It's so widespread now. Such little thought for those with allergies.

Try finding a hotel in the UK that allows dogs.

I've stayed with my dog(s) at the Lygon Arms in Broadway, The Swan at Lavenham, The Powder Mills at Battle and many more that I can't recall the names of. Someone I know claims to have taken their dogs to the Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons, but I'm scared to check if they allow dogs because I really want to go there!

I bet if you google "dog friendly hotels", you'll find more than you can shake (or throw) a stick at.

Ime, most hotels only allow dogs in certain rooms, so those with allergies can ask for rooms where pets aren't allowed.

Try finding a hotel in the UK that allows dogs. Booking.com have a pet friendly filter on their search engine - we've found it pretty easy to stay in Hotels with our pooch, there's often a £10 fee for extra cleaning.

I like dogs and people. I especially like the ones who are very young, very old or slightly disadvantaged, maybe even a little smelly through no fault of their own.

maybe even a little smelly through no fault of their own what about the buggers who deliberately roll in fox poo - what should we do with them? Wink

Omgimblonde. Wow thought I was the only one to develop a dog allergy after having a baby (feeling less weird now). Only certain breeds though happily.

Why do restaurants go to such elaborate lengths to cater for people with nut allergies and fail to even warn horrendously dog-allergic people like DH that they allow dogs? Why do so many people who claim to be ‘passionate’ about the environment have a blind spot when it comes to adding all those plastic bags of dog poo to landfill? Odd.
