I don't care....I love them....and I really hope Ant comes back. There I said it.

I don't agree and I think they should show Arrested Development instead Grin

RunMummyRun68 · 01/04/2018 00:09

Does anyone know how the little girl is doing? The one in the car he crashed into?

CadyHeron · 01/04/2018 00:09

I think Dec was great tonight.
Must have been nerve wracking going out there and facing everyone solo for the first time.

Redglitter · 01/04/2018 00:10

She's fine. Her dad said on the day of the accident she was fine and had only been taken to hospital as a precaution. Pretty standard for young children

FlashTheSloth · 01/04/2018 00:11

Oh fgs, the girl was fine. She was taken to hospital as a precaution. Yes he did a stupid stupid thing, and it IS very lucky no one was hurt. But lets not pretend she was actually injured, because she wasn't.

I also love Ant and Dec and have done for 23 years, and I'm not suddenly going to switch that off and pretend I hate them because Ant fucked up.

Samcro · 01/04/2018 00:11

im not a supporter of DD drivers......there I said it

chickywoo · 01/04/2018 00:12

Runmummy - yeh I was wondering that too

TidyDancer · 01/04/2018 00:13

The child is fine, not injured. She was used by the media (and others) as a stick to beat Ant with after the crash.

Samcro · 01/04/2018 00:14

so sorry I didn't realise he was sober.

Sparklingbrook · 01/04/2018 00:15

Dec was brilliant tonight.

Hopefully Ant is getting the treatment he needs.

RunMummyRun68 · 01/04/2018 00:17

flash I'm glad she's physically fine

Hope she is mentally fine too, and not suffering flashbacks or ptsd or anything

dear op do you love all DD or just him?

LucilleBluth · 01/04/2018 00:23

Just him...we go wayyyy back. He made a mistake, there but for the grace of god and all that.

Well, how very noble of you to say so.

Funny though that there are very few posts on the internet in support of non-"celebrity" drink drivers isn't it? It's almost as though they've committed a crime that could result in seriously injuring or killing someone as opposed to Ant just making a silly mistake because of his "addiction".

Thankfully no one was hurt this time but that is through sheer luck not because he didn't intend to hit anyone. There is no excuse and it's unforgivable imho.

RunMummyRun68 · 01/04/2018 00:27

UK prisons are full of people who just 'made a mistake'

Notagainmun · 01/04/2018 00:30

I love Ant and Dec and Dec did fantastic tonight. However, I am disgusted that Ant chose to drink and drive. I am sorry he is ill but that was inexcusable. Dec will be great with a solo career. I don't believe Ant deserves to return to presenting, but I do wish him a full and speedy recovery.

LucilleBluth · 01/04/2018 00:31

Nah, I've got sympathy for anyone with addiction issues , anyone who's struggling and has turned to drugs/ booze...because I'm not an unsympathetic twat.

I wonder how often recovering addicts have large groups of people stalking them and recording their every move ??

He did a bad thing, he should be punished accordingly but fucking hell, the photo of his house that was published with rows of stepladders lined up along his wall (( that belonged to the press )) made me feel sick. Famous or not he should have been left to recover, that sort of hounding is bound to push people to the brink. I honestly think he has no chance of getting better unless he takes himself off somewhere for a very, long time.

YerAuntFanny · 01/04/2018 00:34

Ah I see. Well I'm glad to hear that should you or yours be innocently involved in a car accident as a result of some arsehole choosing to get behind the wheel under the influence then you will be utterly sympathetic to them and not feel an ounce of resentment towards them.

Sparklingbrook · 01/04/2018 00:37

I feel sorry for Ant's wife who has had a paps camera up her nose since this happened. They are even doing daily bulletins about Dec's wife and the clothes she wears. Hmm

RunMummyRun68 · 01/04/2018 00:37

itsall he went to rehab

IanRushesInadequateFlushes · 01/04/2018 00:39

Good for you. I'm sure he feels exactly the same way about some random he's never met Grin

LucilleBluth · 01/04/2018 00:40

Humans are fallible hence the need for courts, the law, insurance. We create chaos as a species...war, famine, inequality. He fucked up.....and he's being punished for it. I can feel sympathy and not agree with his actions at the same time, fancy that.

My darling Ant 😀

YerAuntFanny · 01/04/2018 00:41

I have sympathy for those struggling with addiction and I absolutely agree that the media attention surrounding his stint in rehab and the aftermath have been utterly sickening BUT I don't have sympathy for someone in the case of law breaking and endangering others.

It is entirely possible to be supportive of those suffering addiction issues without minimising and supporting their every "mistake".
