What do you think of people who don't do anything to look attractive?

I don't mean washing and basic hygiene. I mean those who don't dress well, wear make up or keep themselves healthy.

Why don't people want to be pleasant to look at?

Because I'm not here to please your eye?

Well I don’t wear make up very often because I have better things to do with my time. I’m happily married and my DH thinks I’m beautiful so why would I care what anyone else thinks?

When I wear makeup I wear it for me not for others.

I am not a specimen in a museum.

I don't wear make up. That doesn't make me unattractive.

I cannot imagine judging someone on something so pointless and shallow.

People aren't ornaments for the use of others.

They either don’t care or they don’t care. I don’t mind what others look like as long as their basic hygiene is impeccable. And their clothes are clean.

Errrr because I’m suffering from chronic arthritis as if I have the energy to go out makeup and looking fashionable are the last thing on my mind! On my very rare good days I’m a fashionista but it’s sadly not achievable all the time. What would you suggest OP? That I confine myself indoors as I’m so hideous makeup free wearing comfy clothes?

I don't think anything. Unfortunately I've got enough worries if my own.

It's a personal choice isn't it. Some people dont care about make up ect some do, either way it's fine.

I don't want people I know to see me on here.

I guess people who dress up and wear make-up and so on are kind of fancy. I like a more casual look.

I don't understand not trying to be healthy for HEALTH reasons, not to please your eyes.
Not wearing makeup must cover at least half the population. I assume you're arbitrarily excluding males from this high standard though?
"Dressing well" is to a large extent down to individual preference. I see a lot of people who have clearly spent time and money on their appearance but it's not objectively attractive... Much high fashion is ludicrous!

I think people are valuable for what they do and who they are. Not for their looks. But subconscious messages tell us otherwise

"Dress well" is subjective for starters. And also not something that everyone cares about. I'm clean, tidy and comfortable. I don't care about anything else with regards to clothes.

Wearing make up. Well, again that's subjective. I don't like make up and I don't want to wear it.

Keeping healthy. What does this even mean? Keeping to a weight that you deem appropriate? Being athletic?

And across all this you are assuming that it's necessary to look attractive to others. Which it isn't, unless you're trying to attract them and you want to look attractive. If not, then it's not necessary!

Attractive /= pleasant to look at. I find people who are clean, tidy and wearing what they want to be pleasant to look at.
