He's an annoyin' twat. He needs to stop singing over the songs, that's just ruining them. And so full of himself. I change channel at 12pm.

I don’t know if they are the same records but I’ll agree it is a pointless non-event of a feature. Isn’t it just simple requests for people’s favourite songs? Because that’s never been done before.
And all the mid-week references to it as well “Serious jockin’ no g” - fuck off Steve.
It’s deeply irritating.

I usually switch him off you see. The constant SJ mentionitis is bad enough...I’ve only ever caught the actual feature a couple of times...seemed to be all those shit overplayed songs you’ve heard enough of to last a lifetime.

While we are here, can I also chuck a spit in about Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show feature where he gets kids to call in about stuff they’re doing for the first time that day, like going to a dance class or on a boat or what have you...then he gets them to call back the next day to say how it went. Fuck me that is some tedious crap!

Yes! Thank you! It is awful and repetitive. And I know it is meant to be ironically awful like a crummy disco DJ... But it kind of forgets the irony and just becomes awful

A friend of mine works for R2... apparently Steve Wright is “too popular” to ever be got rid of! Personally I think his listening figures must come from all the workplaces with radios where they just never change the channel!!

It's the most cringe thing ever and I thoroughly judge everyone who texts/calls in (if they're even real) with their "serious knobbin no G lolzzz!!!" pish and encourages it.

His slot is about the only part of Radio 2 I can't stand! He's just awful. Not funny, not original, very annoying.
