I hate Steve Wright.

I have a love/hate thing for Ken Bruce. Sometimes his music is Brilliant, great choices. Other times it's awful.

I have to turn off Jeremy Vine.

And here ends my belated and useless contribution to the thread.

I don't mind Chris Evans unless he's doing his "accessible to 1% of listeners" charity auctions (I used to detest him in the 90s, he's not as cocky these days). I like Ken Bruce, particularly Pop Master bit. I can't stand Jeremy Vine's show, it usually gets turned off within two minutes (fabricated, inflammatory shite). Steve Wright is a boring, past it, smug old man and I'd wish they'd bin him, but I don't mind the music, even if predictable. I like Simon Mayo. It's amazing how these men get a job for life at R2.

We have a long running joke at work where people refuse to leave work early as they'd have to listen to Steve Wright in the car on the way home......they wait until it's Mayo time.

I really miss Desmond Carrington. Lovely gentleman, lovely music. A great start to the weekend after a week at work.

Simon Mayo is so sarcastic/ plain rude to callers to his show though, you can tell he hates talking to people (that said, it's usually some shrieking, overexcited woman - yep, - on her way to her sister's place in Derby for a 50th birthday knees up with kids in the back of the car who also want to speak to Simon).

Paul Gambocinni and Johnny Walker are amazing. Very knowledgeable and play amazing music.

I’m not sure it’s fair to blame Evans for the auctions - they’re for Children in Need and were started by Wigan, The breakfast show just continued to be the medium for them.

It just shows you how different we all are.

Daytime radio on Radio 2 - I cannot listen to Evans - like Ken Bruce - turn off Jeremy Vine - Steve Wright is ok and I like Simon Mayo.

I can't remember the last time I had to suffer from BBC radio though probably some ghastly car journey. Thank goodness for decent local radio.

I do keep Radio nan Gàidheal on the Radio iPlayer though.
