I’ve met loads through my work/my husband’s work. Most are just getting on with their lives and no different to you or I really. Most are just fine. That said, Robbie Williams is properly mad. I was scared to look into his eyes!

notsodimwit · 18/01/2018 19:19

ROBBIE WILLIAMS! (faints)Grin

Nick Knowles, through my work years ago. Total arse. Huge. Even now, when I see him on the telly I growl and DH knows to turn over! Grin Don’t get me started on his recent attempt at music...

Randomlywondering · 18/01/2018 19:21

I've only met 2 People, Helen Mirren and Brian May, and both were very pleasant I'm afraid!

SparkyTheCat · 18/01/2018 19:21

Yes, I did some filming once with a 'sleb' for a TV documentary (can't go into more detail, far too outing) Let's just say it was not an experience I would care to repeat.

kitkatsky · 18/01/2018 19:22

Adele is not nice... but I’m not sure she comes across as nice either.

The nicest ones I’ve met are Newton Faulkner and Lacey Turner- embarrassingly I thought Lacey was a friend of my brother’s but she was very nice when I was asking how she was getting on since school, where was she living now etc Confused So embarrassed when the penny dropped. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they weren’t getting ready to film her in sth at the time!

Weezol · 18/01/2018 19:22

Lots. I worked in a restaurant next door to a big theatre. As a rule, the properly famous were fine, the z list were a fucking nightmare.

StrictlySnow · 18/01/2018 19:24

I knew nick knowles would be a complete bellend.
Tony Blair fleetingly so couldn't say anything but smiley
Tony Hadley- top bloke friendly and charming
Robbie Savage- so up himself you wouldn't believe it had his little crew around him
Shane Richie- nice bloke ridiculous amounts of fake tan

Randomlywondering · 18/01/2018 19:24

I can imagine that Weezol

Teufelsrad · 18/01/2018 19:25

I met my favourite band Rammstein at a signing if that counts. Till(the singer) was incredibly nice to me. Very polite, down to earth and charming. I barely interacted with the others because I was in such a daze after meeting him.

LineysRuff · 18/01/2018 19:25

I worked in an airport shop once and met a few but they were always very pleasant.

Rossi and Parfitt - really really nice.

notsodimwit · 18/01/2018 19:26

Keith Chegwin. May he rest in peace.

LineysRuff · 18/01/2018 19:27

David Miliband - just very engaging and chatty and WHY ISN'T HE OUR PM

Jaxinthebox · 18/01/2018 19:27

Ive met quite a few. Most were nice, normal people.

Teufelsrad · 18/01/2018 19:27

I was at an event which was divided into various stalls and sections, and saw a long queue so joined it. I assumed that some free item was being given out,but Gary Lineker was at the end of it. I talked to him briefly. He was actually very pleasant.

ButDoYouAvocado · 18/01/2018 19:27

I met lionel Blair when i worked for Tie Rack in my teens. I pretended not to know who he was (thought he would appreciate it). He was asking for tie recommendations. I offered a couple and he said 'oh no. They wont come out well on camera. It's for TELEVISION darling'

Sort of awful and fabulous at the same time.

I would serve the late Rik Mayall and his wife when i worked in M&S. They were both really lovely.

Shirley Bassey came in with an assistant who kind of shooed people out of the way.

John Thompson was lovely when i asked him for an autograph when I worked for GAP. He said only if i gave him a discount. He was joking. Love him.

EggsonHeads · 18/01/2018 19:30

Nope. But I was pleased to hear from a friend that Ian McEwan is just a up himself in real life as he comes across in his books. It would be a bit sad if he was actually a nice person and everyone was thinking that he was a conceited dickhead.

TruJay · 18/01/2018 19:30

Me and ds have met Mister Maker Grin he was such a wonderfully lovely guy.
Ds said to him "I can't believe you are actually real, I thought you just lived in the tv" Smile ds was star struck and MM said to pinch him to check he was actually real. Made ds's month!

MissT84 · 18/01/2018 19:30

Jon lee from s club ... he was rude/ignorant.

I do wonder if these "celebs" could be having a bad day?

honey from EastEnders was lovely though... chatty and friendly.

Laiste · 18/01/2018 19:33

I was woo'd by Chris Evens years ago. Not long after he got with Billy Piper. She looks a bit like me Grin

He's alright. Not as arrogant as you'd think.
