Linda Lusardi...lovely
Tom O Conner...a real gent
Austin Healy...arrogant wanker

I'll remember some more in bit..

InvisibleLlama · 18/01/2018 20:02

I once beat Sharon Davies at Go-karting. We were both rather competitive.
Frank Turner is the loveliest person ever (even though hardly anyone seems to have heard of him - singer/songwriter - opened at Olympics, sells out Wembley etc).
Melvyn Bragg,
Wellington Womble,
Jonathan Ross,
Kris Akabusi,
Prince Edward was nice.
Frank Skinner kissed me.
David Baddiel meh.
Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue adorable.

Teufelsrad · 18/01/2018 20:02

I forgot Princess Anne. (Official opening thingy) She was much nicer than I expected, and I'm not a fan of the Royals.

Teddy1970 · 18/01/2018 20:04

How could I forget Cilla? Awful woman, and her husband was just as hideous..

Apisto · 18/01/2018 20:04

And without giving details but Jess Glynne is beyond ridiculously up her own arse

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 18/01/2018 20:04

Austin Healy...arrogant wanker

Always been ok when we've seen him. Although its always been socially with friends rather than professionally iyswim.

Randomlywondering · 18/01/2018 20:05

OP - I believe CD is a female presenter who once worked with Ant and Dec on Saturday morning TV, now lives in the US married to an Irish comedian.

loverofcake983 · 18/01/2018 20:05

Why was Robbie Williams odd? 😩

Teddy1970 · 18/01/2018 20:07

Piglet...I used to work for a major airline, he was vile on that flight..he might have been having an off day, but there was really no need.

DickRichardsIII · 18/01/2018 20:07

Frank Skinner once asked me out (in his drunken days). I said no. Always wondered what might have happened!

peachgreen · 18/01/2018 20:08

Ralf Little was one of the most unpleasant people I've ever met. Spent the afternoon in a pub with him (friend of a friend) and my goodness he liked the sound of his own voice. Was also truly vile to his girlfriend / date, making fun of her to get a laugh to the point where everyone was uncomfortable. Yuck.

Everyone else famous that I've met has been pretty nice to lovely. Will Self was so lovely to me that it actually changed my life a bit. The most famous person was Colin Firth and he was just extremely shy and desperate to not be recognised (and very grateful when I pretended to not know who he was).

Binkybix · 18/01/2018 20:08

The people who’ve met loads through work - what are your jobs?!

notsodimwit · 18/01/2018 20:08

Thank you random Wink I know who it is now Blush

Esther Rantzen. She does that putting down and pretending it's a joke thing. Came across as very bitter.

lookingforthecorkscrew · 18/01/2018 20:09

He’s just not all there loverofcake fame has not been kind to him!

Oldbutstillgotit · 18/01/2018 20:10

Lulu was incredibly rude when I met her in a London store. On the other hand, Zoe Ball was lovely to my daughter .

socksandpants · 18/01/2018 20:10

And conversely, Amy Winehouse was very sweet and friendly.

PinkUnicorn1990 · 18/01/2018 20:10

InvisibleLlama I agree Frank turner is the friendliest celeb I have met, had so much time for you. Love him!
Grin

bertielab · 18/01/2018 20:11

Princess Anne -very nice to me (I was about 10) and she was opening a new wing at our school and I had been chosen to show her some microscopes etc -she was lovely.

Prince Harry -in a bar. He brought me a drink -I said he looked familiar, worked out who he was awful a while. Very nice chap.

Tony Blair -he was uneasy and sweating. He made a joke -it wasn't funny. I didn't laugh -he sweated some more......

Robbie Williams -I helped him in an emergency - I really liked him and he was normal!

Jordan AKA Katie Price was removed from an event I was at -she didn't seem very sociable!

notsodimwit · 18/01/2018 20:11

So shocked about cilla and david jason Sad

Also love the username InvisibleLlama!!

plominoagain · 18/01/2018 20:11

I met Nigel Slater in a cheese shop once , whilst dithering over the relative merits of Gorgonzola over a Roquefort ( it was Christmas and I am a total total cheese fiend ) . He suggested the Gorgonzola after a mutual tasting , and he was right . Pity I didn’t actually realise it was him until he’d left the shop , and the staff starting laughing when I mentioned that I’m sure I knew him as his voice was so familiar... bloody idiot . Lovely lovely man , but shy .

CharizMa · 18/01/2018 20:12

Damian Lewis. Not an arse. Polite. Friendly but I wouldn't have deluded myself that we were friends.

bertielab · 18/01/2018 20:12

Meant I worked out who he was after an awfully long time -it was a long process as he was just 'normal'

Teddy1970 · 18/01/2018 20:13

Ooh, just remembered some more!

Cheryl Cole...really lovely
Ashley Cole...came across quite shy amazingly
Prince Harry..kept himself to himself and didn't want to be recognised, he seemed ok though.
