Or do you not wash your feet and legs in the shower?

Just a simple as it sounds. When I have a shower if I am not washing my hair I wash my armpits, the front of my body and my nether regions. Maybe down each arm and sometimes my neck. Literally never ever ever wash my legs unless I am shaving them. Also my feet never ever get washed. Seriously.

My husband thinks I am totally disgusting. Am I being unreasonable here or does the water dripping down my body do enough for my legs and feet? I think it does.

@delilahbucket

I've never got an infection on my feet or toes in all 32 years.

I shower, scrub pits, bum, face, thighs and boobs.
The rest is washed by the soapy hot water.

I don't have dead skin hanging around and I don't have smelly feet or smelly anything.

rubbishtalker · 22/12/2017 21:27

Yes I have never had a foot or fungal infection or anything weird like that but I hardly ever wash my feet. Genuinely I think it must be that the more you wash your feet the more they need washing. Actually if you just ignore your feet they get used to them not being washed and don't smell anymore. Same with ironing your clothes. I don't either any of my clothes anymore and do you know what they just don't need ironing.

I also haven't ironed since I moved into my current house as the board was put in the loft and I never bothered to unpack it,

Surprisingly I agree, nothing needs ironing.

festivedinosaur · 22/12/2017 21:29

Don't mean to derail thread

rubbishtalker · 22/12/2017 21:30

Same. I think your clothes get used to not being ironed so much that they just don't demand anymore. The fibres must just relax or something

I wash my feet and legs every day. I actually consider them dirtier than other parts of my body. Don't your feet end up really smelly if you don't wash them?

whiteroseredrose · 22/12/2017 21:30

I'm with you. Pits and bits only. The legs and feet can take care of themselves!

speakout · 22/12/2017 21:30

Same as you OP.

Lots of places I don't actively wash in the shower. I concentrate on hair, armpits, landing gear, under breasts, neck, face ( with facial gel)

Lots of places are ignored- knees, calves ( if not shaved, ) shoulders. elbows, forearms, sides of hips, and feet. These body parts are drenched in warm foam during the process.Shower tray is draining and usually full of hot soapy water anyway, and as I change position my feet are plodging around in hot soapy water constantly so are getting washed as I go. My feet never smell.

Musereader · 22/12/2017 21:30

I wash them with soap. But it is the first bit i forego if i am squeezed for time so they dont get done every day unlike armpits nethers and underboob which have to be done every day.

I actually had a monthly foot washing session pre exP with foot fizz, foot scrub and foot lotion, but abandoned it when the idiot ex used a years worth of the foot fizz in one go and i couldnt find more as boots has stopped doing it.

KakunaRattata · 22/12/2017 21:31

I'm same as you op and never had any foot infection. DH washes his thoroughly and has cracked feet and occasional athletes foot. I'll stick with my method.

TheVanguardSix · 22/12/2017 21:31

Wash your feet!

delilahbucket · 22/12/2017 21:31

festivedinosaur you can't see dead skin. I have never been hit by a bus, but it doesn't mean I don't take steps to avoid it happening.

Abra1d · 22/12/2017 21:31

I always wash my feet. I go to the gym and run and I think they need it.

grumpysquash3 · 22/12/2017 21:32

I always wash my feet in the shower. Very simple - shower gel on hands, lather up armpits, use leftover froth on one foot then the other.
I wear basically the same pair of boots from October through April or May, they don't pong at all!

speakout · 22/12/2017 21:33

PeggySueOooOo You have smelly legs?

jay55 · 22/12/2017 21:33

I wash the backs of my knees but not the rest of my legs.

grumpysquash3 · 22/12/2017 21:33

Underboob is a different matter though - had never really considered it! I am only a C cup though so it probably doesn't really apply.

Iamcheeseman · 22/12/2017 21:34

I'm with you op. The soapy water running off the rest of my body does my feet and legs on the way down.
If my legs are muddy from football I'll wash them but not otherwise.

lurkingnotlurking · 22/12/2017 21:34

Underboob? Yeah, not got any of that either.

illuminousopptomist · 22/12/2017 21:35

Yes I wash my legs and give me feet a good scrub with the ball washy thing.Grin

StrawberryMummy90 · 22/12/2017 21:35

You lot are absolutely vile.

AnachronisticCorpse · 22/12/2017 21:36

I don’t. I was most surprised the first time I saw DH shower, he does a sort of whole body scrub including the soles of his feet and between his toes. It never occurred to me that people did that.

Bambamber · 22/12/2017 21:36

I wash my legs and feet everytime, but I do have extraordinarily smelly feet that could clear a room if I didn't wash them every time. Plus I sweat a lot when exercising so really do need a good scrub all over

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 22/12/2017 21:38

I dont think I've ever washed my feet, not unless they've got actual dirt on them.

Not one infection in my fairly long life and I've never had smelly feet either.

I don't want my face either Grin

gingerclementine · 22/12/2017 21:38

Always wash feet and legs. I'd not feel clean if I didn't.
