AIBU To Not like Blue Christmas lights? (Light-hearted)

I really do not like them and yet where I live they have become very 'popular'.

I love original yellow fairy lights, no chaser, no flashing, no colours as such -no bright white.

Never mind, each to their own! X

You would get on with my DH. He protests their existence to anyone who will listen.

However the person who invented blue LEDs won a nobel prize for it as they are very useful in some kind of medical shiz.

I absolutely agree with you! They genuinely give me a headache.

Hey my tree is rocking the blue disco lights from hell the kids adore.

I like them unless they are the type that flash. I dislike any kind of flashing lights, irrespective of colour.

I find blue flashing fairy lights distracting when I’m driving because they give me the “is an emergency services vehicle heading my way?” jolt.

They’re also cold-looking, not cheerily Christmassy 🎄

They are so very wrong. I don't like the white ones either. Yellow or coloured are the only tolerable Christmas lights.

Me too. Hate them. They are ugly and not xmassy at all. They look cheap i think. No idea why though! I only like warm white lights though. Multicoloured at a push.

Not nice at all. Twice this evening at work I glanced out of the window and thought there was a police car outside.

I don't like them either. Never have. I don't mind the bright white outdoors but on the tree it has to be warm white. They give a nice, cosy light. Like candlelight.
Blue fairy lights are a hideous abomination.

Another blue and bright white fairy light hater here,especially flashing ones.They are not cheering and have slowly taken over everywhere in the last few years.

I like the warm white ones but the the DC asked for coloured lights on the outside trees like the neighbours. So we have a mix.

Those saying OP is unreasonable ...what is it about them that you like?

the blue one's go right into my brain! I swear when I had different kind of glasses they would just blind me for a few seconds.

I love all outdoor fairy lights. Pretty twinkly little blue lights wound through the bushes...what’s not to love?

However, after the tinsel thread, I’ve accepted that my taste in Christmas decorations is tacktastic.

They are very cold. I got some only because they were on sale and 1/2 the price of the coloured lights. Regret it now and can't wait for them to pack up so I can get some new ones!

Yes I hate blue lights too. I think lots if people must agree as they are the only ones left on the shelves in the shops right now.

People across the road have blue flashing ones and I keep thinking the police or an ambulance is outside.
