Posting here for traffic because I'm shameless

Just wondering what unusual/disgusting food combinations people like? Either day to day, or to cure a hangover. I had a friend who liked sugar sandwiches (bread, butter and sugar )

I'll start with mine, which is Mega Noodles from Farm Foods (I'm that specific) mixed in with baked beans and mayo. Go...

there's nowt wrong with sugar sandwiches! I often add a banana.

Chunky white bread, thick butter, picallili, ketchup, yum!

Corn beef and beans.... lush.

What's the matter with butter and sugar sandwiches? Standard fare in my house growing up (Irish parents).

White toast, slightly cooled, butter and then Heinz salad cream. Yummy!

I can't imagine the taste being much away from a fairy cake or doughnut, but what about the texture? Isn't it gritty? I just imagine them like eating sandwiches on the beach on a breezy day

I grew up on this, warm toast, melted butter and a thick layer of basterdsuiker. Breakfast of kings.

I used to love a ham and banana sandwich made with brown bread. (Which I don’t think is weird, at all.) Then one day, I made some to take into work the next day... suffice it to say that what happened overnight has put me off for the last 30 years, but maybe I need to take a little stroll down memory lane.

My grandfather used to have leftover Yorkshire pudding with strawberry jam. I love both, but could never bring myself to try the combination, and now I’m too greedy to ever have leftover Yorkshire pudding.

Hot sausage sarnies with a spoonful of cottage cheese on top. Discovered when pregnant but still wonderful.

Raw mushrooms with a little knob of butter on the inside the cup. The cheaper and nastier the butter (obviously meaning marg) the better.

Also, corned beef and philli cheese sandwiches.

twitter we had to call it 'THE sugar' as a child as we would all fall about giggling at the rude word

not a mixture, but I LOVE eating tomato puree straight out of the tube. I buy extra tubes just for me rather than for cooking

Sugar sandwiches popular in my house growing up too, along with cheese and jam.

Re mushrooms and butter - try with a little garlic or coriander in the butter - yum!

Peanut butter, raspberry jam & chilli cheese sandwiches

Sardine & tomato sandwich spread & sliced pickled onion butty

Cottage cheese and banana toastie.

I used to swear by Philadelphia cheese and prawn cocktail crisp sandwiches for a hangover. Yum!

Croissant with butter, cheese and jam = yum.

Chicken super noodles with lea and perrins sauce mixed through, then loaded onto ready salted crisps. So bad yet so good.

Milk chocolate and ready salted crisps eaten together.

Cheese toastie (Breville!) With beans

A friend used to eat chocolate spread and cheese sandwichs.

Cheddar cheese and raspberry jam sandwiches. Delicious. Condensed milk with butter on white bread. Ketchup on a roast dinner.
