At work and currently listening in on a discussion where one woman is trying to explain to a colleague that Jesus was Jewish. Colleague isn't having it

Obviously Jesus was jewish.

He was mockingly called King of the Jews at his crucifixion! Course he was! How are they getting on?

That's funny! Of course Jesus was Jewish. Why argue about facts though. Surely Google could end the discussion quite quickly

He may have started out as Jewish, but in setting up his own religion one can assume he dabbled in Christianity.

I had a discussion with my 6yo the other day about why Jesus wasn't white. He's convinced he was because that's all you see in the pictures, of course. DS's school isn't supposed to be a religious one, but they do seem to be finding time to fill his head with Jesus somehow

The idea of Jesus being Christian could make my head explode. So He was a follower of Himself then? He would have to be the same person in two different bodies wouldn't he? But Jesus was one person, part of the Trinity. The other two in that Trinity are non-physical, so He cannot be Christian.

Supposedly Jesus said that he will build a church - and that proves that he founded another religion (that worships him as the son of God)? Believe what you want, but please don't try to justify or discuss it in relation to anything to do with facts or logic.

Ooh, we had a discussion at dinner the other day where my Dh won’t have it that Jesus probably wasn’t white. He said it had been proven. 20 yr ds and myself were 😱 Dh said we had to stop discussing as it would end in a rowing 😂

Obviously did not mean to imply that Paul O Grady set up the Christian church. He has changed his careers during his lifetime, but not that drastically.
