Thankyou so much for so much support over the previous threads.

I thought a lot about how to respond to F1.
I told her without a proper talk I dont think I can put it behind us.
She suggested we meet up tonight after Ive finished work so we can talk properly.
F2&3 have agreed to be there so another repeat of her flying off the handle doesnt happen.

This time around Im hoping for an explaination and an apology now shes had time to calm down.

Good idea to have F2 and F3 there. I would never meet someone in my own again after being verbally attacked like that!

I'd be very impressed if you can put it behind you - the initial giving away your services without asking was bad enough, but since then the facebook post slating you, the swearing and shouting at you ... she'd have to do a huge amount of grovelling to me and I probably still couldn't forgive. I had a completely different scenario happen with a friend but I ended up with her in the same place you are.

I.e. Our friendship can't survive until the friend takes responsibility/acknowledges for her actions and apologises.
In my case she wouldn't have ever done that and for me as much as it hurt to lose her I couldn't have carried on our friendship because I couldn't ever see her in the same way.

I felt that her behaviour and then more importantly her lack of care about me and lack of care about the effect she'd had on me meant I ended the friendship.

I had too much respect for my self to allow myself to be treated so badly by a person who was meant to be a very close friend.

So over 10 years of friendship gone

Don't you dare apologise for anything! Read all the threads and you've done absolutely nothing to apologise for. All the contrition needs to come from her, but be prepared to walk out with F2 and F3 in tow if she kicks off again. Good luck

Please don't apologize to 'keep the peace'. You haven't done anything wrong. This is entirely on F1. She needs to own it and apologize., otherwise it will happen again.

Im not apologising because I havent done anything wrong. Nor will I be asking for an apology off her, when you prompt someone that you want an apology it isnt sincere IYSWIM.

I suppose I just want an explaination of why she did what she did but I still dont know if the friendship can ever be the same again, Ive saw her in a different light over these past few days and I didnt like what I saw.
