Flat Earthers.. Craziest beliefs!

Just been scrolling through FB and come across a post where there are genuine people with genuine beliefs that the Earth is flat.

I honestly believed it was just a joke and that people were taking the piss. Apparently not!

AIBU to ask what the craziest beliefs you've come across in British modern society?

How is it any different from people who believe that Jesus walked on water, that Moses spoke to a burning bush, that Mohammed flew to heaven on a winged horse or that Ganesha is a deity with an elephants head?

Flat earth seems pretty mild in comparison...

mothertruck because you there's scientific proof the Earth isn't flat whereas the examples you mention are supposed miracles and therefore can't be proved one way or the other.

If the earth was flat, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

I know people who genuinely believe in fairies, sprites, pixies and gnomes. Really.

Are flat earthers the same as young earth creationists?
If so.we have politicians here who are signed up to that.

A lot of people believe in angels too, and better still, an omnipresent cosmic force watching over us the whole time, who will do nothing about innocent people suffering, yet demands to be worshipped.

People who drive everywhere who are scared of chemtrails

That people believe in miracles and the afterlife etc.

Flat earthers are brilliant.

They think the sun is like a torch that moves in circles over the earth, shining 'day' onto different parts as it circles.

I actually think a fair few flat earthers are awesomely entertaining if you hang around with them when they are wankered

That a man is actually a women if he says so.

That the Tories would redirect any funds towards public services
That folk vote for them then act surprised that privatisation happens
That a man is a woman because he says he is- and if you disagree you should be raped and are equivalent to a Nazi

I worked with a young man who believed there are fewer people on Earth now than there ever had been because since the invention of the car, people die in car crashes. He just didn't believe stats, demography etc.

And that the Antarctic is a big barrier that stops water falling over the edges.

I think YECs are far more numerous than flat earthers.

Jehovah's Witness believe Adam and Eve came before dinosaurs and all the scientific evidence proving dinosaurs were around millions of years before humans is all bollocks.
